Review of my surgery with Director Lee Jun-wook at DT Plastic Surgery in Sinnonhyeon. I hope this helps anyone with similar measurements to mine or anyone planning to have surgery at DT, so I’ll write a review from the day of surgery to day 7!
167 cm / 45 kg, breast 76, rib cage 69, breast base width 11.5, pectus carinatum, asymmetric breasts (my own tissue 70A) - gained 2 kg after surgery Motiva Full 315 cc / 355 cc, inframammary incision, dual plane, accessory breast tissue I did not do hybrid augmentation •Day of surgery
My surgery was at 12, and I arrived at 9:30. I had been fasting since 4 a.m. After filling out the surgical consent form with the consultant, I made the final decision on implant type and size with the director, then we proceeded with the design.
Once I entered the operating room, I started getting a little nervous. I was lying there wearing just disposable underwear, and I was shivering because it was so cold When I said I get cold easily, the nurse held my hand, and it was so warm. It really helped me relax. The anesthesiologist came in and told me to breathe in and out, and as soon as I asked, “Should I breathe through my mouth? Through my nose?” the surgery was over and I opened my eyes in the recovery room lol
While I was half-awake, I touched my breasts once, took a selfie, ate the water and pumpkin porridge the hospital gave me, and was discharged right away. I took a taxi home, ate delivery food properly, took my medicine and two Taxen tablets, and slept.
* On the day itself, there wasn’t much pain, and only sleeping while sitting was a little hard.
•Post-op day 1 (pain at its peak) Maybe the medication had worn off, but the pain started from the moment I woke up. I took my morning medication and lay down, then got up around lunchtime to go to the hospital, and the severe pain began... It hurt so much I almost lost consciousness from shock.. I can say it was the most painful day of my 30-something years of life. Until yesterday, I had planned to take the subway to the hospital, but my breasts felt like they were being torn apart, and my nipples felt like they were going to fall off. It burned and hurt so much that I took a taxi to the hospital.
After receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy and SmartLux care, it got a little better, but it still hurt. I saw the director and asked if it might be a hematoma because it hurt so much. He touched my breasts and said it didn’t seem like a hematoma, so not to worry, and said he could give me a painkiller injection if it hurt too much.
I got the painkiller injection (it hurt a lot), then went to take the subway. The pain started again. Since I couldn’t hold my chest itself, I stood there for a long time clutching around it... The pain made my head spin, and I even debated calling 119. In the end, I left and took a taxi home. I took Taxen and forced myself to keep sleeping. * Day 1 was truly nonstop pain..
•Post-op day 2 When I woke up, my breasts felt much lighter. I felt like I could take a light walk, so I went out to buy more Taxen too (I took all 10 Taxen tablets on post-op day 1). I bought Taxen and went to the hair salon to get my hair washed. It hurt enough to make me flinch sometimes, but I could move around enough.
•Post-op day 3 Hospital visit day. This day I went straight in to see the director. When they removed the tape that was like a breast bandage, I felt like I could finally live. The director personally removed the tape, checked the shape, said there were no issues, and told me to come back at week 1 before leaving. From day 3, I wore a postoperative bra + upper band. I stretched once, they explained the precautions, and then I went to receive care~ (the nurse was seriously so, so kind....) Day 3 care was hyperbaric oxygen therapy / SmartLux - it was warm, so I slept so well. I think sleeping at the hospital feels the most reassuring..
•Post-op day 4
A day I got through with one Taxen tablet. The pain definitely decreased. The stretches they taught me also became easier. The postoperative bra is fairly comfortable, but the areas where I had liposuction for accessory breast tissue were pressed and hurt. When I felt a bit suffocated while eating or breathing, I loosened the upper band for a while. I made sure to wear it while sleeping. They told me to wear the postoperative bra so it fit the inframammary fold well, so whenever I had time, I checked whether it was fitted correctly and adjusted it right away. Sleeping is still slightly hard. It feels like my tailbone is bruised. * My breasts are still tight and hard + upper-pole bulging. My nipples are still launching like rockets, the areolae are stretched too, and the nipples seem a little bigger as well.
•Post-op day 5 Started driving. Around the neighborhood is fine, but long distances seem like they would be a little hard. I do feel some stiffness when turning. It’s hard to lift things over 3 kg, and I can’t put much strength into washing dishes either. I almost died taking out a kimchi container. Still, when I’m staying still, the breast pain is almost gone. The accessory breast pain is getting worse... The bruises turned yellow. My breasts are still hard, but I can definitely feel them loosening little by little. The scariest thing is the upper-pole bulging.. It doesn’t seem to want to come down. Since my skin is firm, I think it will take a while.
* My breasts keep itching like the skin is about to crack, so every morning I apply a thick layer of Bepanthen. I want to get CAPS soon.
•Post-op day 6 Went to a friend’s bridal shower party. I hadn’t told my friends I had surgery, but no one noticed.. Maybe because I usually always wore a super padded bra, they still thought it was padding? Was I hoping they would notice..? I felt a little disappointed.. I was moving around busily here and there preparing for the party, but there was almost no pain. At this point, is this painless?
•Post-op day 7 It didn’t hurt yesterday, but I have a little muscle soreness today. I did overdo it yesterday. My breasts are still hard, and the upper-pole bulging still seems to be there. Tomorrow is the day I go get the stitches removed. More than stitch removal, I’m really looking forward to CAPS.
•Post-op day 8 Went to the hospital and received CAPS and SmartLux.
When I look at other people’s reviews, they get it done with their nipples covered, so I wonder why mine was done so openly? I had really looked forward to it. I was disappointed because they didn’t seem as soft as I expected.
I saw the director, and he seemed satisfied, saying it turned out very well. The nurse removed my stitches and explained various things (still so kind.. the best) From that day on, they told me to wear the upper band only when sleeping..
•Post-op day 9 Went out without the upper band... Without the upper band, I could wear thin clothes too, so it felt so good. Postoperative bra + nipple patches + T-shirt = my figure definitely looks prettier. The upper-pole bulging also feels like it has come down a little... and my breasts are softer and squishier than yesterday. The sensation in the inframammary fold area hasn’t fully returned yet, but above that it seems to have all come back? My nipples are slightly sensitive, but the sensation has all returned.. * There is intermittent stiffness and pain around the scar on the right inframammary fold, but all other pain has now completely disappeared.
---------------------------------------------- Records up to today. I wrote them down in my notes every day. As expected, time is the medicine, and I’m very satisfied with the texture changing day by day. It’s a shame I couldn’t go bigger because my breast base width is small.. I’m really looking forward to how much better it will get after I receive CAPS in week 2.
