I think it’s been about a month now since I went big for my mom’s birthday gift and got her lower blepharoplasty and a sub-brow lift. When I was little, my mom loved taking photos so much that our albums were always full of pictures of her, but at some point I noticed she started avoiding photos, and it hurt my heart... Even when our family went overseas or far away on vacation and took pictures, she would always wear sunglasses... I had always thought that once I earned money, I wanted to do this for my mom someday, and this time I got the chance, so I did a bit of filial-daughter stuff lol
Honestly, it went way over the budget I first had in mind, but we thought maybe under-eye fat repositioning would be enough, so we went in for a light consultation. Then we got hit with the hard truth that because the muscle was sagging, under-eye fat repositioning wouldn’t work... I couldn’t just say I couldn’t do it for her.... So I figured if we were going to do it, we should do it properly, and paid for both lower blepharoplasty & a sub-brow lift...
I didn’t really know much about hospitals for middle-aged patients, so I joined and looked around here and there, but there seemed to be so many ads...^^ So we went to a reasonably famous place + a hospital picked by my parents’ acquaintance, and one hospital’s surgery date, the doctor’s style, etc. fit exactly what we wanted, so I think we decided quickly, swoosh!! As expected, acquaintance picks for hospitals may be the most trustworthy and good...?
It’s about one month now, and the surgery seems to have gone so well that people around her keep asking where she had it done, so I’m really proud! I don’t plan to post before-and-after surgery photos to protect my mom’s face, but... If I talk in detail about the changes I’ve noticed from seeing her face every day...
✔️The wrinkles obviously disappeared (above and below the eyes) ✔️Even the cheeks smoothed out, so her skin looks better and many pores disappeared ✔️They preserved the aegyo-sal and made only the lower area flat, so she naturally has a smiling impression ✔️Since they removed all the sagging skin that was poking her eyes and covering her double eyelids by excision, her functional discomfort was also resolved ✔️This is just what I feel, but she looks like she lost weight.... lol When the area under her eyes looked puffy, her impression looked really dull, but after it smoothed out, her overall impression looks a bit sharper
They didn’t force any separate event-type thing here (maybe there aren’t any; they didn’t mention it), so we just paid the full price without any special discount or sharing model photos, and other than surgery and aftercare, they didn’t bother us, which was good
As expected, it seems you get what you pay for, and my mind feels at ease too I’m writing this as a record, but I don’t know if it’ll help everyone If you’re curious about anything, leave a comment and I’ll try to reply as much as I can whenever I check (I do not plan to upload my mom’s photos)
