Hello,
I am in my early 20s, and because of an imprudent surgery, my right eye has now had its 6th surgery. My eyes were originally asymmetrical, and correcting the asymmetry was not the main goal, but during my 4th surgery, there was a big difference between the left and right eyes, including ptosis correction, and my right eye needed an A/S revision, so I had only the right eye done for the 5th time. That surgery also did not go smoothly; during the operation, I felt pain midway, teared up, and had local anesthesia added several more times. There was also a little hypertrophic scar tissue at the front part of the surgical line, and immediately after surgery I had side effects such as eye redness, pulling/tightness in the eye, incomplete eyelid closure, and dry eye syndrome. After that, I just kept living with the incomplete closure and dry eyes.
Still, I decided to just live with it and not pay attention to it if possible, but after 3 years passed, the scar tissue on the front line of my right eye came down, and I kept thinking I wanted to correct the distorted shape. It was gradually getting much worse. So I went to consultations at plastic surgery clinics in Gangnam and Apgujeong while debating whether to slightly raise only the front line or redo the entire right eye. To decide carefully, I went to consultations at 6-7 major hospitals that are often mentioned for revision surgery.
Among them, during my consultation with Director Park at ㄱㄹㅂ, I decided on surgery because the direction I wanted matched his approach, and because of the director's confidence. Overall, we decided to revise the line and perform ptosis correction only on the right eye to match it to the left as much as possible. The surgery was scheduled almost just a few days after the consultation. The surgical process was clean, with no pain during surgery or delay in operating time, and after surgery the previous pulling sensation in the eye disappeared, and the height of the outer corners of the eyes, which had not matched before, ended up matching. So I was very satisfied immediately after surgery. For postoperative care, I paid attention by doing ice compresses, practicing opening my eyes (just a li~ttle more strongly than usual), drinking pumpkin juice, and most importantly, going on frequent walks.
I am currently at week 3, and overall my eye shape has improved a lot. However, since week 2, the front part of my right eye has been more swollen, and when I open my eyes, it feels stuffy? Like it opens a bit less, so I have also been doing eyeball-rolling exercises to help the swelling in the front go down, but that part is still there, so I am a bit worried. I am going to watch the progress a little more and have the director check it~!.
