I didn’t know what diagonal epicanthoplasty was, but after carefully comparing review photos from other clinics, this clinic minimized cutting the lower part of the inner corner of the eye (the area where scars tend to form), so even with different eye shapes, there were no scars. The only thing I was worried about was that it might be so natural that it wouldn’t be noticeable, but after getting it done, I could tell that even 1 mm made a change in my impression (I consulted with the director right up until just before surgery about whether to open it 1 mm or 1.5 mm). Since epicanthoplasty is a difficult area that is hard to reverse no matter how much epicanthoplasty restoration is done, I felt reassured getting it from someone conservative like the director. If it had been another doctor, I probably wouldn’t even have asked for it to look a bit more noticeable. One thing I didn’t expect was that, because I work in the healthcare field, I’m sensitive to things like hospital hygiene, and I was slightly moved because it was managed more cleanly than any other hospital I’ve been to and they followed the rules well to prevent cross-infection. Also, when I had the stitches removed after 7 days, there was already almost no swelling, but the director carefully checked again, and the kind nurse removed the stitches carefully so it didn’t hurt. Afterwards, they even did swelling-care laser treatment, so I felt that the aftercare was also very meticulous. In fact, it was interesting because they felt even kinder after surgery, after I had paid, than before surgery, before I paid. (They were already kind enough before that too.) There are many clinics that act indifferent or just take a quick look and finish, so I felt very satisfied with that aspect. I’ve already recommended it a lot to people around me.
p.s. The before photo was taken by someone else while I was standing, and the post-surgery photos were taken while I was lying down. My double eyelids are originally different every day. I took the photos focusing on the position of the stitches and how little scarring there was.
