I was worried about my nose because it didn’t look feminine at all and just made me look like I had a strong, masculine impression. To begin with, because of the hump, the nasal bone was quite large and high, so when I went around consulting at clinics to try getting surgery, they all said the same thing:
“A natural-looking nose will be difficult..”
That was all they said.... I couldn’t find a clinic that spoke confidently about the results, and since my concern was so big, I really wanted surgery, but there was nowhere that gave me certainty, so it was really frustrating..
My features are overall very defined! My eyes are big! My mouth is big too! So there was definitely some effect that made my nose look even bigger, but when I went to a clinic I found out about through a friend’s recommendation, they said they would just take care of the height and shape so it suited my face well~ that it wasn’t difficult~ Somehow, both the way the director treated my nose and the clinic system, where they said they would provide aftercare suited to me while checking my progress, such as scar tissue care, swelling care, sebum care, etc., seemed like a good fit, so I immediately paid the deposit and went through with surgery..
Maybe because my nose was on the large side, I was told I had enough septal cartilage, and without mixing in anything else, they used only septal cartilage for the nasal tip. The silicone implant was 3 mm, and I also had bulbous nose correction and hump correction. I thought I would need osteotomy (because other clinics all told me that too, yeah) But the director here said, “Is there really a need..?” and said I didn’t have to. I think you can understand it as only shaving down the hump without osteotomy. Since I saw some people asking about things like this, I’ll say it: I had nasal tip septal extension surgery. Keep that in mind
After surgery, I didn’t have any stiffness or soreness, and I struggled briefly for a day or two because of swelling, but after removing the stitches and taking off the splint, the swelling went down quickly, so it was fine. Honestly, I only walked around casually. Some people say they walked 30 minutes or 1 hour every day, but I... just went to the convenience store and cleaned at home, that kind of thing..? I only moved around about as much as walking from the bus stop to my house. I think the fact that my swelling wasn’t that bad from the start played a part. I’ve seen people whose eyes hurt too, but it wasn’t to that extent for me, just a little swelling in the lower face..? Even after taking off the splint, everyone, don’t expect too much Unless your pre-surgery nose was really in a very bad state, at first you’ll probably look kind of dazed and puffy because of the swelling I hope you don’t believe everything when people say, “I loved it as soon as the splint came off!”.. It’s only one week after surgery anyway, right..?? Don’t get depressed or have a hard time because the swelling is too big. Just simply and calmly look at what seems to have improved compared to before, watch the progress with the director, then come home and do warm/cold compresses and go for walks as the clinic instructed.. If you spend time managing it like that, the nose shape you imagined will slowly start to come out. That’s after one month~
At first, after taking off the splint, I was like, what is this, what is this swelling? I thought my nasal bridge would be super! slim, but it wasn’t, and it seemed like there was slight swelling between my eyebrows too.. I had a bit of trouble controlling my expression, but what comforted me at least was that the hump was gone and my nostrils had narrowed The consultant also said this when I came out after swelling care.. Time really is the medicine, you have to wait.. Don’t have a hard time and just wait... Then it really will get better... It’s all swelling, so it will all go down on its own... When I went for my 1.5-month progress check, the director said the swelling was going down really well, yeah. They said minor residual swelling can last for over 6 months, so we should keep watching it..
