Hehehe, finally, finally, the long-awaited 1-year mark after double-jaw surgery,,! I was really bothered by my malocclusion, where my upper and lower teeth didn’t meet properly, and by my protruding lower jaw, so I went for a dental consultation to get orthodontic treatment. They said I was a surgical case, so after thinking about it, I had surgery! Usually, double-jaw surgery is done as a set with two contouring procedures (square jaw + chin), but since I was doing it anyway, I also did cheekbones, so I proceeded with three types!!!
I can’t believe a year has passed,, time really flies haha Actually, after surgery at Y Oral, from about 2-3 months onward my sensation all came back, and I recovered quickly without nerve damage, so I didn’t have the side effects that come up in double-jaw surgery reviews when you search,, (I may also be relatively insensitive though.!!) What I like most after surgery is definitely that my overall vibe changed, and I really love that. Before, my impression looked a bit strong and suited more feminine styles, but now my face shape has softened and I hear a lot that I look feminine.. I even hear quite often that I look innocent and pure, something I thought I’d never hear in my life, so I really think I made the right decision to have the surgery.. haha
This is just a side note, but I went to a dental clinic in Gangnam because of an implant, and the doctor there asked where I had my surgery.. When I said I had it done at Y, they said Director Lee Seok-jae is good at surgery and that I’d done well(?), so I came back praised. Hearing that from another dental clinic made me feel kind of proud, and I once again thought that I really chose the right hospital. (This isn’t made up, it’s a true story..)
Honestly, the surgery cost wasn’t a small amount, but I really think it was a good investment.
Looking back at the surgery day a year ago, I’m so grateful to the hospital staff who provided close 24-hour care for 2 nights and 3 days, and also to the consultant who comforted me and took care of me when I was very swollen and having a hard time early after surgery.. Thanks to them, I’m living a new life!!
