For my first double eyelid surgery, I had the non-incisional suture method, but maybe because my eyelids are thick, the swelling lasted at least three times longer than other people’s. This time, when I had a consultation for revision surgery, the doctor did recommend the incisional method, but I’m a bit worried about the recovery period and scarring if I do an incision. I really want to do the non-incisional suture method, but I’m wondering whether it would truly suit thick eyelids. I understand why people say the incisional method is better in terms of swelling and longevity, but the non-incisional suture method seems more convenient because recovery is faster, so it’s not an easy choice.
