Whenever I was worried about my nose and asked questions, the consultant would always cut me off lol Getting surgery at that hospital is something I seriously regret so much ㅎ
After my surgery, I was watching TV, and no matter how much they blurred it, since it was the place where I had surgery, I could tell where it was. I was dumbfounded watching it on the news. That hospital went under, even though it was a pretty large hospital...
There was so little change that even my family couldn’t tell (seriously) It was basically like they just shoved silicone into my glabella It was seriously ugly, I went through all that suffering, and I had such a huge reality check But I thought, if there are no side effects, I’ll just live with this face... and that became 10 years
Around the year before last, my nasal bridge suddenly swelled and hurt. So I went to an ENT, and they said it would get better if I took antibiotics. But it really did get better? After that, once every few months, when I wasn’t in good condition, it would swell a little and then get better, like that
Thinking about it now, I should have run to the hospital right then... I regret leaving it alone because I thought it wasn’t a big deal
This year my nose seemed kind of suspicious, so I went around to plastic surgery clinics At one hospital, they said there was a hole in my nasal bone They told me to remove the silicone and live with a contracted nose for the rest of my life... I absolutely couldn’t live like that, so I kept going around for consultations
Back then, I didn’t know anything, so I even went around to large hospitals But a director famous for noses told me that I absolutely had to get surgery from an experienced director at a small clinic who would see me a lot, because it was serious, and that if I went to a factory-style place it would definitely fail
So after considering various things, I had surgery at the last place I consulted It had one director, and they said they only do one surgery a day...
They said my nose was so serious that there were limits even with surgery The shape is prettier than before, but it’s not like, wow~¡ it’s super pretty~ If before it was an ugly-as-hell nose, now it looks like a human nose, a nose you could say is moderately pretty?
I wondered why my nose had developed problems, and it turns out, without me even knowing lol there was Medpor? inside my nose lol After surgery they showed me the photos and I literally found out for the first time in my life. Back then, I didn’t know the cause, but Medpor (artificial bone) had eroded and pierced through my nasal bone, and my skin had almost reached the point of necrosis. Luckily? I had surgery before necrosis, so I didn’t end up with severe complications...
They said the reason it didn’t show much on the outside, whether that was lucky or unlucky, was because there was a hole in my nose, so the inflammation went through there and drained toward my throat, so it didn’t fester severely
Ha... my first surgery was seriously at a level where even my family couldn’t tell, so even people around me don’t know I had a nose job, and I couldn’t even talk about it ㅠ (Even real plastic surgery experts don’t know I had my nose done. My first surgery was so damn ugly that I was too embarrassed to say anything lol ㅠㅠ)
But now my nasal dorsum is slightly sunken like it’s bruised, and the color has changed too (they said this won’t fully return, and that it’s already improved a lot at this level). The skin inside my nose (the area where the Medpor came through) is seriously bad and still hasn’t healed, so I need a skin graft. Still, since it’s not the outside of the nose but the inner skin, I don’t know if I should say I’m really lucky or what haha
I seriously think it’s really fortunate that I didn’t go to a factory-style hospital and had it done here. Once they opened it up, it was so severe that I came out of the operating room after a full 7 hours They said that because I’m a really severe case, a process that takes other people 5 days has to be monitored over 6 months for me, and that I should think of the surgery as being finished then. They told me not to worry too much and that they’d take care of it until the end. I’m really glad they keep paying attention and are trying to see it through to the very end ...
My nose hasn’t healed yet, so I didn’t upload photos.... Much later, once it heals, I’m really going to post a review. I still haven’t even had my stitches removed ㅠ because it hasn’t healed lol ㅠㅠ
What I just want to say is
People who have developed contraction, don’t go to large hospitals. What if they open you up and you’re as severe as me, but they have the next surgery patient waiting? They’d rush to finish it, wouldn’t they? Thinking about that gives me chills I worked pretty hard going around for consultations and visited 9 hospitals
And especially those of you who used unusual past materials like Medcore? just in case, please go to a hospital and get checked regularly before it becomes irreversible If your nose feels even a little off, go to the hospital right away... even then, it might already be late ㅠ
For materials, I only used autologous rib cartilage and ear cartilage. I made it clear during consultations that I would absolutely only do it without implants They said my septal cartilage had already been used in the first surgery (I didn’t know this either). And they said it was so thin that if they touched it wrong, it could perforate... Ha, I’m so damn annoyed, seriously The nasal bridge is solid autologous rib cartilage, and the nasal tip is autologous rib cartilage and ear cartilage
And autologous rib cartilage seriously hurts like crazy... The pain is shocking. It still hurts a bit
Except for my mom, nobody knows I had revision surgery, so I had nowhere to talk about it and just rambled on
