Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Nose surgery review from 10 years ago..

10 years ago, when I was in my early 20s and didn’t know anything, I had cosmetic surgery together with functional improvement for a deviated septum. I had a slight hump, and my face had a high nasal bridge but a low nasal tip. Osteotomy, septal cartilage, and silicone were used, and since my nasal bridge was on the high side, 2 mm of silicone was inserted.

During the first 2 months when there was swelling, I really liked it and everyone around me said it was well done haha. For 2 days I bled so much from my nose that I wondered if I was going to die like this.. But as my nose got higher, it started to look longer. More and more as time passed.

Now, after 10 years, the deviated septum has recurred, and my nose has gradually become a bit crooked too (not severely crooked, though).

On top of that, after having double-jaw surgery 3 years ago, I developed nasal widening and nasal tip drooping, so I’m looking into revision surgery. There are no major external problems, like contracture/inflammation.. I think lasting 10 years was a long time ㅠㅠ This time I’m debating between autologous costal cartilage and donated rib cartilage ㅠ_ㅠ

It seems like noses never end with the first surgery, including people I know around me. As you live, the shape can’t help but change little by little, and it’s a matter of whether you live while accepting that or not.

I hope this will be my last cosmetic surgery ㅠㅠ
