An acquaintance got semi-permanent eyebrow makeup done here (they’re known for dimples and semi-permanent makeup), and it turned out well. I thought it would be safer to have it done at a hospital, so I went. One thing led to another, and I ended up getting semi-permanent makeup removal + various other things done.
<Semi-permanent makeup removal> Several years ago, my mom dragged me along lolololol From what I remember, I think I got it done in an officetel building. Back then, I was young and didn’t really know what eyebrow design I wanted, so I was just in a state where I didn’t particularly like or dislike it. I thought it would fade over time, but strangely, only the tail line of my left eyebrow kept staying dark, which stressed me out. I had a consultation with the director, and they said the pigment had been implanted too deeply and asked where I had gotten it done... haha So I removed it with Revlite or GentleMax, I think? (I’m confused about the name, but anyway, it was a laser.)
After about 3 sessions, a lot of the pigment that had stubbornly refused to fade finally came out. And while removing the semi-permanent makeup, I also had a lentigo on my cheekbone area removed. I wondered if I would need a few more laser sessions, but after 3 sessions, they said there was no need to keep going and that I should just cover it with new semi-permanent makeup.
What stood out to me during the laser treatments was:
- The director doesn’t lie: I whined about what to do if my eyebrow hair color got bleached too, and they very matter-of-factly said the color would come back later, and that wasn’t the issue; there’s also a side effect where the eyebrow hair may not grow back at all... They told me honestly. After hearing that, I worried that I might end up like the Mona Lisa while trying to remove a tattoo, but after about 3 months, it recovered. My eyebrows grew back too lol
- The director doesn’t overdo it: After the first session, it barely came off, so I was kind of unsure myself, and during the next laser session, the director thought carefully about the laser intensity and number of shots. Since summer was approaching, they said it would be better to go safely rather than unnecessarily increasing the intensity, and I actually preferred that. It’s better than getting the laser too strong and then getting hyperpigmentation from UV exposure... Anyway, after 3 sessions like that, the dark pigment that had been with me for years faded a lot and looked more natural.
- Some people might feel that the director is blunt. They’re not the type to laugh loudly and be super warm and sweet. But they are meticulous and cautious. Oh, where did I feel that? Now that I think about it, I also had a cyst on my earlobe removed here... lololol It was a cyst I’d had for over ten years, and I had only been thinking that I should get rid of it someday. Then I really wanted to get my ear pierced, so I decided I had to remove it, and since I was already there for laser treatment, I went ahead and did it. The cyst opening? sac? something like that happened to be on the front side of my earlobe, so they couldn’t make an incision from the back and remove it. I whined quite a lot then too because I was worried a scar on my ear would look bad, but instead of comforting me, the doctor said surgery could leave a mark lolololol It was a cyst that would swell up to the size of a small bean when I was tired, and I was seriously so worried that if they removed that much from my thin earlobe, wouldn’t my earlobe basically get pierced through? But really, only a wrinkle-like trace was left, and it didn’t scar (thank you.. thank you...) When I went to another hospital and showed the surgeon that I’d had a cyst removed, they said it had been sutured carefully from the inside? so that it wouldn’t leave a scar. I’m very satisfied because it’s not noticeable. The cyst removal I got while I was there ended up being the most satisfying lolololololol
Anyway, I stopped the semi-permanent makeup removal after 3 sessions and got new semi-permanent makeup here to cover it. I’ll write a separate review for the semi-permanent makeup.
