A little over a year ago, I went in confidently for my primary surgery, but the doctor said they had to shave down a hump that didn’t even exist, performed osteotomies, and lifted my nose like some pig nose, so I lived with a lot of emotional distress for a while. In the end, after 6 months, I decided to have revision surgery at another clinic. Turns out the clinic where I had my primary surgery… specialized in breast surgery ^^^ I should have looked into it more before going… At the time I was also a student, and I wanted to get it done quickly at the cheapest price possible. The consultant kept tempting me, saying they would only give me that price if I did it that day, so I think I rushed into it way too much Everyone, never rush into it, and make sure to visit and compare lots of clinics before doing it!!
Up to the third photo are photos after my primary surgery. Even in the photos, you can see the upturned nose didn’t improve at all, it actually got worse, there was basically no nasal bridge at all, and they just blindly raised only the nasal tip…? hehe;;
The 4th photo is right after the revision surgery! Honestly, even while the splint was on, I knew… that my surgery was a success… Didn’t the line come out so pretty? And what I felt once again is that for nose surgery, for about a week you should be thinking, wow, this is a disaster, it’s way too high;;; for it to be a successful surgery… During my primary surgery, it looked natural even right after surgery, but as the swelling went down it became so strange. With the revision surgery, right after surgery it looked big and excessive to the point of feeling unnatural, but as the swelling went down it became so pretty.
From the 5th photo onward is how I look now, 8 months later!! The upturned nose has been completely improved, and it turned out naturally glamorous, so I’m very satisfied. Since it was revision surgery, I went in expecting it to look obvious, but even people I meet for the first time have no idea I had surgery unless I tell them lol For the primary surgery, they used a mix of ear cartilage + septal cartilage, and for the revision surgery, they used only autologous costal cartilage!! I worried a lot about the scar, and sure enough, the scar is still quite dark… That part is a bit upsetting. It may also be because I didn’t take good care of the scar, but it has remained dark enough that it can’t be ignored. It feels bumpy when touched, and it’s to the point where I hesitate to wear revealing clothes. Still, I got a pretty nose, so I’m living gratefully.
