Before<Before epicanthoplasty restoration>After<After epicanthoplasty restoration>I originally planned to have surgery in December, but I only had time around Chuseok, so I urgently asked them to schedule the surgery. Thankfully, they made time for me, so I was able to match the schedule and get the surgery quickly!
As you can see in the photos, before surgery there was also a hook-shaped scar, but since both eyes had hook-shaped scars, honestly I didn’t really notice it. My intercanthal distance was 35.5, so it wasn’t narrow, and I only had the left eye done because the lacrimal caruncle was severely recessed there. But as time goes by, I like it so much that I’m writing a review!
Before surgery, I had asked them to make sure my intercanthal distance would not become too far apart, since it wasn’t on the narrow side. Up until just a week ago, my intercanthal distance looked too wide and Avatar-like, so I was even considering a later micro epicanthoplasty, and honestly I was dissatisfied. But in just one week it has been becoming more and more natural and opening up, so I’m really happy!
Currently my intercanthal distance is about 37, and since I only intended to close about 1 mm anyway, at around 37 days after surgery, I wonder if it could open another 0.5 mm later. Honestly, even if it doesn’t open, I like it because the overall harmony of my face doesn’t look strange!
Also, I cared for the front of my eye after surgery as the hospital instructed, so the scar isn’t severe, and I think almost nothing will remain later~ For a few days before stitch removal, I had to change the DuoDERM. The postoperative precautions said that if the DuoDERM doesn’t come off well, soak it with saline before removing it, but I was annoyed and just pulled it off, and a stitch came out, so I was really shocked. I immediately asked the hospital through KakaoTalk, and I was also very grateful that they took care of it right away!
The hook-shaped scar area also improved. The side I didn’t have surgery on still has the hook-shaped scar, and before surgery I didn’t have a comparison point, so I didn’t know what effect the hook shape had on my face. But without it, it definitely looks cleaner and gentler! I’m definitely planning to get the other side done later too! ☺️
A younger acquaintance had surgery here, and since I also went after seeing someone I knew, honestly my expectations were high. Early on it looked so frog-like that it was a bit hard, but I’m clearly realizing that only time is the answer!
I’m very, very satisfied, and the director’s skill goes without saying. I can see that they care about patients! From now on, if anyone around me says they’re getting epicanthoplasty restoration, I’m planning to recommend this place without question! ☺️
