Before<natural nose>Before<surgical nose>After<removed nose>Hello! I removed the silicone and cartilage today, so I’m leaving a review~
1) First nose surgery My nose is really small and low. It was so low that there was not much difference between before and after surgery. So on the day of my high school senior winter vacation ceremony, before I even became an adult, I came to get nose surgery.... I had 4 mm silicone inserted, and ear cartilage was placed in the nasal tip. Honestly, I was completely satisfied after the nose surgery. No one around me, including relatives, noticed. It was partly because it turned out natural, but I also wonder if they did not know because my nose was still too low to think I had nose surgery.
2) Reason I decided on removal At some point, I looked in the mirror and my nose was so white. It also seemed like the silicone outline on my nose was visible. I think it started bothering me a little from then on. Also, after nose surgery, you really have to handle your nose carefully, but I did not. I dug into my nose roughly and patted cushion foundation on it hard. Thinking about it now, it does seem like crazy behavior. So after thinking about it for about a year, I decided to remove it.
3) Removal consultation I had the removal done at the clinic where I had my first surgery! I had been satisfied with my nose surgery. (For reference, it is outside Seoul and not a nose-specialized clinic, so I do not think I can give information right now. Sorry) When I consulted with the doctor, the doctor tried to stop me. He said he could remove it, but because it was not inserted low, I might regret it. Of course I would feel a sense of loss, but I said I still wanted it removed and immediately set a surgery date. He told me it was not a major surgery, so it would not take long, there was almost no chance of the nose turning up, and there was a high chance it would return to my natural nose, so I think I felt a bit reassured and set the date.
4) Surgery First, I did not do sedation anesthesia and did it under local anesthesia. My nose surgery was also under local anesthesia, and old memories came back... But local anesthesia really hurts insanely. I am really extremely scared of injections, you know? My parents were outside, so I could not bring myself to scream, and I got anesthetized while tears kept dropping. I seriously wanted to give up on the surgery. The surgery was done while making small talk with the doctor. At first I was extremely nervous, but as we talked, I relaxed. Then I felt something slide out, and soon after, the surgery ended. I went into the operating room around 2:20 and came out at 3. It ended quickly, right?!
5) Review First, I did not have a splint or taping at all. I only have gauze in case blood flows. The sutured area throbs a bit, but it is tolerable! Since my nose had not been otherwise manipulated, the surgery only removed the silicone and cartilage, and so far I am satisfiedㅎㅅㅎ The nasal bridge definitely sank completely, but I do not feel much about it. If anything, it feels softer?? But when I look at reviews from people who had removal, they say they look like a fish-faced human, and I do too When I look in the mirror, it is so funny I feel like my nose will burst It is still day 1 and there is swelling, so I do not know any major difference yet. After the swelling goes down and the stitches are removed, I will write another review in a week. Bye!!
