Before <monolid days> After <30 days after double eyelid surgery> Hi, everyone I successfully finished the double eyelid surgery I had been thinking about for 10 years, so I'm posting my one-month review!
Honestly, before surgery, people around me discouraged me so much, saying absolutely not to get double eyelid surgery, and even I lived without much dissatisfaction with my monolids, but as I got into my late 20s, it felt like my eyelids were gradually sagging and my confidence in my appearance was dropping. Most of all, I didn't like having an impression where, if I had no expression, people would misunderstand and ask if I was having a bad day
In my early 20s, at clinics I visited while following a friend, and later my younger sister who had surgery first, they said incision was unconditional and epicanthoplasty was essential, and some places even recommended lateral canthoplasty and upper canthoplasty too.. Those places were also ones I found because they were known for having a good aesthetic sense, but the consultations were disappointing...
Since my features are East Asian, I didn't think my eyes would look harmonious even if they got bigger from canthoplasty in all directions, so I didn't want any canthoplasty, and because it was my first surgery, I wanted to go conservatively and was only considering natural adhesion or partial incision.
Even if it came undone, I thought less was better than more!
Anyway, I think I went to about 10 clinics. Most were famous places people would have heard of, but in the end, I decided to get it at the clinic that designed it to fit my image the best, did not push surgery excessively, and was meticulous and delicate!
This is a place I decided on after browsing this community and seeing a photo review from someone here whose result was so pretty, then looking into that clinic intensively. There wasn't a single bad review? Strangely enough.
In case people suspect sponsorship, I'll cut down a bit on the obvious praise lol The thing I most wanted to praise from what I felt was that the director seemed like a porcelain artisan. Even when designing, he spent over 30 minutes shaping the line, and since it was my first cosmetic surgery, I had lots of worries here and there, you know? While getting the design done, all my worries disappeared. Because he was setting it so meticulously, I thought, this will turn out well on its own. I wanted a natural-glam look, but what was more important was 'naturalness,' so I told him I wanted an in-out line. But after the director spent a long time checking this way and that, he showed me both the possible in-out and semi-out lines for my eyes! I thought about it a little, but in the end both the director and I agreed on the in-out line, so that's what we decided!
Now at one month, the line came out so pretty that I'm satisfied, and I'm even more satisfied when I wear makeup lol life as a double-eyelid person hehe I didn't even work that hard on swelling care, but it is settling in well day by day, so these days I feel grateful, thinking the director really paid attention Around weeks 2-3, people around me were amazed, asking how these could be eyes that hadn't even been a month yet lol
For reference, my skin is on the thicker side, but since it was my first surgery, I had the buried suture method, and I don't think it will particularly come undone. I'm going to live carefully as usual! I think the cost came out a bit higher because I also had fat removal, and I didn't do epicanthoplasty because the director didn't particularly recommend it. I'm satisfied too hehe My impression is softer but also more glamorous, and I'm very satisfied!!
