The reason for revision surgery was that it didn’t look like I had had surgery at all and it was too natural.... (For having had surgery, my nose didn’t really have a defined look.) I was debating whether to have surgery or not, but because of my job, I often have to stand in front of a camera, so I felt I couldn’t keep going like this and ended up having surgery in early September. (To be honest, I was also drawn in because someone I saw on Instagram Reels had such a natural and pretty nose shape, so I went for a consultation haha.)
There were many good aspects of the consultation, but the best part was the consultation with the director. The staff were also very kind, but maybe because the director only does rhinoplasty, he seemed more specialized and trustworthy, I guess... He used my CT scan and drew diagrams himself while understanding the nose shape I wanted. And what made me think he had an excellent aesthetic sense was that, while drawing the nose shape that would suit me, he explained one by one why it should be done this way and why it shouldn’t be made more excessive, so I think the consultation alone took about 30-40 minutes. If other hospitals cut it off in 10 or 15 minutes, here they explained everything carefully until all my questions were answered, and I really liked that part, so I decided to have surgery here. Done and done.
On the day of surgery, as soon as I got to the hospital, I changed clothes, waited, took photos, met with the consulting manager once, listened to the explanation of the surgical consent form, had another consultation with the director, he designed my nose, checked again if I had any questions, I showed him the nose shape I wanted, went to the restroom, and then entered the operating room. Maybe because it was revision surgery, I actually felt even more nervous....
In the operating room, I saw the director once more and then fell asleep. It felt like I hadn’t slept long, but the surgery was already over, and when I checked the time, about 2 hours? seemed to have passed. I stayed at the hospital while still groggy, then came to my senses, saw the director one more time, and went home. Even up to then, I didn’t feel any discomfort. Maybe it was because I already had experience from having cotton packed inside my nose before... hahaha.
Still, maybe because it was revision surgery? There was a bit more bleeding? When the gauze held in front of my nose got wet, I just replaced it with the extra gauze the hospital gave me. And there was a throbbing sensation that kept bothering me, about that level. The very next day, I had the nasal cotton removed? After that, I applied ointment by myself, took my prescribed medication properly, and did cold compresses whenever I could (not on the nose, but mainly around both sides and the eyes because I wanted the swelling to go down quickly). I definitely felt like the swelling went down less on days I didn’t do cold compresses compared to days I did, so I worked hard on compresses and went for walks.
At week 1, I had the splint removed, and there was less swelling than I expected, and the nasal line was amazing... It was seriously so pretty There is still swelling in the nasal tip and bridge, but even taking that into account? I preferred a rounded nasal tip shape.. It was exactly the shape I had talked about.. Seeing that reflected in the mirror made me really like it!!!
I heard the major swelling would go down by week 2? So I kept watching it, and it seemed like some parts became slightly slimmer, so I’m uploading the week 2 photos for reference.
Up until week 3, the swelling between my eyebrows didn’t seem like it was going away, so I was a little worried that maybe the surgery had gone wrong..?
Now that 4 weeks (1 month) have passed, the swelling between my eyebrows has completely disappeared, and when I look at my nose shape, I’m so satisfied
All the worries I had because it was revision surgery melted away in an instant haha. This is a review I’m writing purely because I’m so satisfied with the result!! I hope it helps everyone.
