Eye Surgery Reviews

Review of in-person consultations for double eyelid revision surgery at ㅇㄹ and ㅇㅇㅋ

I’ll write casually in note form - Both are single-doctor clinics - Since mine is revision surgery, when looking up reviews I mainly went to places that had done a lot of revision surgeries - This was my first round of in-person consultations, and next week I plan to go to ㅈㅇㅈㅇ and ㅇㅇㅂ too

1. ㅇㄹ, Director ㅈㅅㅂ - Consultation fee x - Not a large clinic, but it’s clean and doesn’t feel chaotic like a marketplace - There were many people, so I waited 10 minutes - Consultation order was manager > doctor > manager, and there was no waiting in between - The doctor is kind and tends to explain in detail (it felt like he talked for over 20 minutes) - I had my first surgery by incision without knowing much.. so I thought revision surgery would definitely also have to be incisional, but the doctor said it differs by person. Sometimes non-incisional is possible too, yes - But he said my eyes still have a lot of eyelid fat, and the double eyelid line itself is asymmetric on both sides, so to match this, incision would be the right choice - The sausage-eye appearance is because the line is high, so double-line lowering is not needed - He said if only the line is corrected from my current eyes, they will be pretty enough

Summary: incision (revision surgery) + ptosis correction - I liked that the consultation was kind and detailed, and I liked that the AS period is 3 years, they provide various aftercare for an eye surgery, and the doctor consistently checks the progress himself

2. ㅇㅇㅋ, Director ㅊㅁㅅ - Consultation fee 10,000 won - There were many people and the wait was a bit long, almost 30 minutes? - Consultation order was manager > doctor > manager - I had high expectations here because the doctor has many revision surgery reviews and especially seemed to focus on double-line lowering (until then, I thought my eyes were sausage eyes) - The manager first looks at the eye condition and tends to tell you how the surgery should be done - The doctor was kind, and although there was a slight feeling that he seemed a little rushed, I could see he was trying to answer all my questions - He said my eyes were not severe enough to need double-line lowering. Like the previous clinic, he said the line is asymmetric, so correcting that is most important - But personally, I felt the line the doctor marked was way too low... (I wanted an in-out line) He seemed to pursue a very natural look, yes - Fortunately, he said my eyes are not very difficult. He said the scar when my eyes are closed would also improve a lot

Summary: incision (revision surgery) + ptosis correction + recommended to do a slight upper canthoplasty together - Both the manager and doctor were kind during consultation, but because the wait was a bit long, I did worry about what if it’s like this every time I go for progress checks after surgery. AS is 2 years, and I liked that they do regular checks (I may not remember, but there wasn’t any particular aftercare to mention)

Neither 1 nor 2 pressured me to put down a reservation deposit. Instead, they said it was okay to look around more and to think carefully, so I didn’t put down a deposit anywhere (actually, that made me trust them more) I’ll go around for more in-person consultations next week, and if I have time, I’ll write another review
