pre<before 1>pre<before 2>post<after 1>post<after 2>Hello I had been stressed since I was young because my side profile had a protruding chin line, and after becoming an adult I had double jaw surgery. It has already been 6 months since the surgery, I had the surgery at Y Gukak, and I also had it together with contouring type 2! That seemed to reduce the length of my face and add more aesthetic balance too. Right after the surgery, the pain was hard to deal with, and I was also very stressed because of the swelling, but now, 6 months later, most of the swelling has gone down! The hospital also said that the bones have fused well, most of the big swelling has gone down, and recovery is going well, so I feel relieved and am living my daily life without major discomfort I kept putting up with it while just getting orthodontic treatment for my protruding chin, and now I think I should have done it sooner~
I’m sure everyone is curious about recovery, and for me, it was only after about 4 months post-op that I was able to go about daily life without major discomfort~ The swelling has gone down a lot, so it looks much more natural now, and only the tiny swelling that only I can see remains! In the early stage, I was very emotionally drained because the swelling was slower to go down than I expected, but time solves it. If you’re worried a lot about swelling like I was, I think you don’t need to worry too much!
I still have some tightness inside my mouth, but my sensation feels about 70-80% recovered, and I can eat without problems except for food that is too hard! For those who had surgery, if you just endure the first 3 months well, recovery improves a lot and time feels like it passes more easily, so I think it’s best to just keep going with the mindset of enduring it! That’s my 6-month review, and I hope that by the 1-year mark even the remaining minor swelling will have gone so that it looks even more natural
