Before-before-before-before-before-before hi! First of all, I had a complex about my low nasal bridge, so to hide that complex, I kept wearing glasses even though my eyesight is good In early September, I got the final acceptance notice from the company I was moving to, and I had about a week of free time in late September, so I thought I should get rhinoplasty then Of course, everyone probably knows this well, but starting in early September, going around for consultations, getting quotes, and having surgery in late September didn't leave that much time So I did online research through YouTube and communities and organized the surgery conditions I wanted
■ Surgery Conditions ~ Consultation The surgery conditions I wanted were 1. Since I had to start work at the new company in early October, I absolutely had to have surgery in late September 2. It was important to make it as natural as possible, and I didn't even want an extremely high nose 3. Whether septal cartilage, ear cartilage, or costal cartilage, it absolutely had to be autologous cartilage 4. Choose only one plastic surgery clinic with certainty, get a consultation, and have surgery there Those were the four. Of course, no. 4 is very risky, so if you have enough time, I strongly recommend visiting several places for consultations The reason I booked a consultation at the hospital where I had surgery was that the rhinoplasty review photos looked very natural, and there were many reviews saying they gave truly kind and detailed consultations even without a consultation fee. (For people short on time like me, I think consultations are the best way to get a lot of information in a short period)
So I had a consultation at the plastic surgery clinic with the chief manager, and I told the manager the surgery conditions above that I wanted. Then the director came in and explained in very close detail for about an hour? the nose surgery method, whether implants would be used, swelling reduction, and management methods. (I even thought to myself, 'They must deal with people like me almost every day, so how can they still be this kind..?')
Then, after checking the condition of my nose, the doctor's expression hardened. The reasons were 1. The nose filler I got 2 years ago was still remaining 2. Septal perforation (there was a hole between my nostrils. This was my first surgery, and I still don't know why it was perforated) 3. My skin did not stretch well......
Of course, for no. 1, I got dissolving injections twice before surgery, so it wasn't a big problem The problems were 2 and 3. Since there was a perforation between the nostrils, the difficulty of the surgery itself must have gone up, and because my skin did not stretch well, I think it was the worst condition in many ways for cosmetic surgery Still, it wasn't impossible to do the surgery itself, so we decided on surgery with autologous costal cartilage, and then the surgery day in late September came
■ Day of Surgery Before surgery, the doctor asked me to show photos of the nose shape I wanted, so I showed rhinoplasty review photos that had turned out naturally well Then I entered the operating room, and the doctor mentioned the unfavorable conditions of my nose and told me it might be hard to expect the shape I wanted (Once I entered the operating room, the doctor who had seemed like an F seemed to become a capital T, so it was a little scary, but I knew my nose conditions were very difficult, so I accepted it)
After the surgery was all over and I woke from anesthesia, my nose was wrapped tightly with a splint, cotton was packed inside my nose, so I had to breathe only through my mouth. On the rib side, I had an abdominal binder wrapped over a thick bandage, and fortunately it did not hurt After getting my prescription and coming home, I lay down and felt like, now it begins.. Still, it helped a lot that I had prepared supplies at home before surgery. The list I prepared was 1. Wet wipes --- Since you can't shower, you need to wipe your face and body with wet wipes 2. Gauze --- Needed to wipe the outer area of the nose 3. Sterile cotton swabs --- Needed to apply ointment inside the nose 4. Straw --- Needed because you can't drink normally by mouth 5. Neck pillow --- Needed to raise the angle of the neck to prevent swelling 6. Humidifier --- Essential item when sleeping while breathing through your mouth 7. Pumpkin and red bean tea --- Essential item to prevent swelling 8. Instant porridge --- Need to eat and survive That was about it. They do sell swelling-reducing medicine separately at the pharmacy, but I didn't buy it because it was expensive
■ After Surgery ~ Day 3 After Surgery (Cotton Removal) ~ Day 7 After Surgery (Splint and Suture Removal) I had surgery on Friday, and on Monday I had to remove the cotton inside my nose. When I woke up on Saturday, I felt a throbbing sensation around the rib area when I moved, my nose didn't hurt, and it felt slightly swollen (Oh, for a week after surgery, I kept drinking only pumpkin and red bean tea instead of water) I ate porridge for all three meals on Saturday, and this was the hardest part after surgery.. I originally had a blocked nose and couldn't taste anything, so I thought I could just manage eating porridge the whole time, but there was a limit On Sunday, I started rationalizing. Even though I couldn't taste it, at some point porridge stopped going down well and I couldn't eat it So I ate curry and croquettes too I think I ate a lot, almost like four to five meals a day Oh. And I saw in a YouTube video that in the early stage after surgery, you should do cold compresses, and later you should do warm compresses often, but I didn't do them that often. My face usually swells easily, but after nose surgery only my nose was a little swollen and the rest was actually fine Instead, I think I went for neighborhood walks for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. I think I saw on YouTube that sleeping too long isn't good, but I usually sleep a lot, and I rationalized that resting well would help me heal faster, so I think I slept almost 10 hours a day...
Then Monday came, and when they removed the cotton inside my nose, I suddenly felt a sharp, spicy feeling in my nose..? and my sense of smell gradually came back Until Friday, day 7, when the splint and sutures were removed, I ate lots of tasty food (but I didn't eat anything too spicy) and rested well Then Friday came and they removed the splint and sutures, and I was surprised because it turned out much more natural than I had expected
The following Monday, I went to my new workplace for the first time, and it was so natural that no one knew I had gotten nose surgery, so I'm 100% satisfied If you look only at the cosmetic surgery cost, you might think it's expensive, but considering that they consult in detail and thoroughly for over an hour, satisfy all the surgery conditions I wanted, provide aftercare so meticulous that hospital visits feel bothersome, and that the manager, doctor, and treatment staff (I think I whined that my rib area hurt before treatment, thank you for listening) were all kind, I don't think it's that expensive. I highly recommend it If you have anything you're curious about, ask me~ That's it!
