Before <before surgery> after <after surgery> I had been worrying a lot because of the revision surgery, but I also got a lot of help while gathering various bits of information and a lot of people have been sending me messages lately asking what my eyes are like, so even though it’s been quite a while since the surgery...... My first surgery was non-incisional, and it was uneven and felt like it might come undone, so I had a revision with natural adhesion + ptosis correction. At the consultation, it’s important to clearly emphasize the line you want, and bringing photos seems like a sure way to let the director know exactly what you want! Even up until I fell asleep on the operating table, I kept saying please make it semi-out...
The hardest time was during the first month after surgery. I had more swelling than bruising I walked a lot and did a lot of warm compresses to reduce the swelling, but it came down unevenly and I was so stressed I was already worried before surgery because my eyes were uneven, but recovery really seems like time is the answer! The director said you can’t make the two sides perfectly identical, but once the swelling goes down they should be reasonably symmetrical, so I waited without worrying, and thankfully once the swelling went down they did become symmetrical!!
Because I had sleepy-looking eyes, I also had ptosis correction, and it definitely reduced the heaviness in my eyes and forehead, and made it easier to open my eyes, so it was more comfortable.
Maybe because I had the surgery with natural adhesion, after about 3 months when I closed my eyes, the line that had been slightly visible was no longer visible, and it looked completely natural! I think the swelling had all gone down by then too After that, around the 6-month mark, it naturally settled in completely.
I thought they would definitely recommend an incision because it was a revision, but they said my eyes could also be done with natural adhesion, so I went with that. Still, I think the line came out clearly, and because I had ptosis correction too, my eye shape looks much sharper!
