Right after surgery: It was my first time ever having general anesthesia. Maybe because I got painkillers, unlike my sister’s review, I lucked out with no throat pain. Instead, it felt like my jaw was being beaten like crazy with a hammer. (Now that it’s Day 1, it just aches a bit under my jaw.) Until I asked them to give me more painkillers and got them, I was frowning like crazy and told my sister (guardian) not to talk to me because I felt like I was going to throw up lol
Talking level: As the painkillers gradually kicked in and it stopped hurting, from then on I talked way too much with my sister. My sister looked at me and went, “Huh?? Why are you talking so well?”
Swelling: The swelling was only from my lower lip, so I found it strange too. Is it usually like that? But the lower lip swelling was almost like someone who got way too much lip filler.
Surgery time: It took exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes, and it took about 2 hours and 30 minutes to recover from anesthesia completely normally.
Doctor: When I was almost fully recovered and right before discharge, the doctor came by and said the surgery went well and that I could probably look forward to the results. Then he lightly touched my lower jaw and left. So I felt amazing.. Yahoo. He looked busy, maybe because he had another surgery right after.
Every time I see this doctor, it feels like seeing my dad, so I feel really good.. He somehow seems kind.
Day 0, same day: It was yesterday. I was fine all day, then in the evening I had a bit of aftereffect from the anesthesia. Suddenly, symptoms of low blood sugar and low blood pressure that I occasionally get maybe once a year came on, with diarrhea + feeling like I was going to vomit, and all the strength drained from my body. While going to the bathroom, I couldn’t hear sounds in my ears, broke out in a cold sweat, my forehead was cold and my body was hot, so I took off all my clothes, cooled down the sweat, and took deep breaths. I asked for banana milk, and as soon as I drank it, I got better. Everyone, after surgery, take in some sugar Otherwise it’s dangerous.
After that I was fine the whole time. I was sitting propped up on about 3 pillows, dozing off, and just woke up now.
Day 1: Today I’m going to get the blood drains removed~ They told me to check the amount of blood, so I’m checking it. When I was at the hospital, 25 cc on both sides. Yesterday at 10 p.m., left 50, right 17.5. Now at 8 a.m., about 10 on both sides.
