Before<(Before) When one side of the buried suture double eyelid came undone>AfterHi everyone! I brought a review of natural adhesion + eye revision surgery. I’m writing this hoping it will help even a little when you go around for consultations.
In my case, I had my first double eyelid surgery with buried sutures 8 years ago, and one side came undone, so I started looking into revision surgery. Back then, I had double eyelid surgery without much thought through my older sister’s recommendation, but my sister was busy, so for the first time I decided to research online and visit clinics myself. While searching, I happened to find this community, and I remember gathering information for several days while thinking it over until bedtime.
Once you have surgery, it is difficult to reverse, and I kept thinking, what if it fails? I also did not know which clinic to trust.. Since there are so many clinics, and time and money are limited. First, I made a list of clinics said to be famous for eye revision surgery and narrowed it down to 8.
After going to consultations at 7 clinics, on average they recommended incision + ptosis correction (sometimes forehead lift). Since the places I consulted generally said that, I started thinking that incision might not be bad. But since they were clinics famous for eye revision surgery, the prices were really.. not easy to afford. (Of course.) So I was starting to settle on going to the place with the lowest cost for incision + ptosis correction, when I came for a consultation at this clinic! I really remember going to the consultation with no expectations, thinking, since I already made the appointment, I should keep it.
To briefly write about the consultation, the director said natural adhesion gives a more natural feel than incision, and that my eyes were fully suitable for natural adhesion. They said I probably did not need ptosis correction or a forehead lift, and maybe because of that, when I was told the overall cost, I liked it so much compared with other clinics.. The director was kind and carefully designed the line, and the consultant also kindly explained everything without pressuring me to book the same day, so at that moment I thought, this is the clinic..! and paid the same day purely of my own will!
1. A clinic specializing only in eye surgery (I judged it had expertise) 2. A clinic with one director (Personally, large hospitals felt hectic..) 3. The director was famous for eye surgery at the previous clinic! (I was convinced after seeing review photos!) 4. Lower cost compared with the clinics I consulted earlier (Compared with the most expensive place, there was up to a 3 million won difference.........)
Other clinics each had one thing that bothered me (the clinic was too busy and chaotic.. or they did not consult in detail or they were too expensive or had a short career...) But this was the only clinic that satisfied all the conditions above.
I really think I did well having the surgery, and I am completely satisfied! It was worth visiting 8 clinics It is a small(?) review, but I hope it helps everyone!
