I had revision surgery with silicone for the nasal bridge, autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip, and columella lowering. It’s been 10 days since the surgery, and when I talk or smile, my upper lip doesn’t lift up along with it, so my upper teeth don’t show at all. It feels frustrating. I know there are several advantages when the nasal tip and columellar strut are done with autologous rib cartilage, but does anyone know whether this is because of swelling or because of the firm nature of the material?
