I originally had double eyelids, but one side became a semi-out fold and the other side changed to something like an inner double eyelid, so it stressed me out so much.
For almost about ten years, I hated how my eye shape changed depending on my condition, so I studied hard? and had surgery.
At first, I had a lot of worries, but after doing it, I feel so happy.
But after reading other people’s posts, there’s something I want to say.. Rather than doing everything like incision + upper canthoplasty + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction and so on, I really think it’s better to do one point you truly want to improve, or at most about two. For clinics, of course, the more surgeries there are, the more money they make.. and I think patients also think it will be cheaper and more convenient to do everything at once.. But I feel like satisfaction ends up being lower.
Cosmetic surgery is hard to reverse, so even if it costs more money later, I hope people get surgery conservatively. For example, even just double eyelid surgery can give enough satisfaction that the desire to get epicanthoplasty may disappear. If you still keep feeling something is lacking even after that, you can later search around and find a place that is really good at epicanthoplasty..
In conclusion, don’t do everything at once just for a very dramatic result.. and don’t follow the clinic’s words too much either…
I was bored and reading posts in this community, so I tried writing my own too. Have a good weekend
