Before<Before surgery>Before<This is also before surgery><This is about 1 week after><This is also after about 1 week>5 years ago, I had my nose bridge built up with L-shaped silicone, but the nasal tip lifted, making it look like an upturned nose. When I searched L-shaped silicone on Naver, it said it was risky, so I wanted to get a consultation. I tried to go to the hospital where I had the surgery, but the hospital had disappearedㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ They said it had closed downㅋ;; I wondered if I should just live like this, but from the front my nostrils showed too much, and my nose looked kind of blunt, with a really strong bulbous-nose feel, so I decided on revision rhinoplasty.
I thought it would be best, if possible, to go to the place where an acquaintance with a good rhinoplasty result had gone, so I asked a female junior who had revision rhinoplasty and got a consultation at that hospital. Before going, the points I prepared were: 1. I heard the L-shaped silicone from my first surgery is risky, so I want it removed 2. Silicone is okay for the nasal bridge; for the septum, if possible, I want to use my own ear cartilage 3. Whether it’s possible to make my nostrils less visible from the front 4. Whether it’s okay to lower the nasal tip because of my upturned nose 5. I want bulbous nose correction, but I’m worried it may exceed my budget, or that even if I do it, it may not be effective
I prepared these five points, and the consultant said adding bulbous nose correction would probably be good and that they would match my budget as much as possible. What the director said was: 1. Remove the L-shaped implant; silicone and septal work with my own ear cartilage are fully possible 2. If only the nasal tip is lowered because of the upturned nose, it will instead become an arrow-shaped nose 3. If the columella is lifted and the nasal tip angle is lowered slightly, the nostrils should show less 4. Bulbous nose correction would probably be good
In the end, I decided on silicone removal + columella lifting + nasal tip lowering + bulbous nose correction + silicone + autologous ear cartilage, and scheduled the surgery for the earliest possible date.
It’s my first time posting photos in this community, so I’m not sure if I’m doing it right, but I’d be very grateful if you could take a look and focus on the upturned nose, bulbous nose, and swelling!
Oh, and I still have bruising. Is it normal to still have bruising at week 1? When I had my first surgery, the swelling was severe at week 1, but I didn’t have bruises. This time I do have some bruising, so I’m a bit worried.. For those who had revision rhinoplasty, did you also have bruising at week 1?
I’m not good with words, so I wrote this long and rambling, but I’d truly be so grateful if you could take a look ㅠㅠ
