I had my first rhinoplasty at 28. Because I had a short nose, they lengthened it with septal cartilage, and they said putting even a little silicone in the nasal bridge would be good for support, so I had it put in. Within just a few months, the nasal tip started looking pressed down, and I’m not sure whether the septal cartilage at the nasal tip had drooped, but they said they would cut out some of the septal cartilage and put buttock tissue or fat, I’m not sure which, into the nasal tip to lift it. Even so, the nasal tip looked short. After having two surgeries at that first clinic, I lived like that for 10 years. At 38, there was a clinic that said they use costal cartilage particles, so without even thinking of consulting anywhere else, I decided to have surgery right away. They also said the silicone was crooked and would pierce through the skin, so it had to be removed immediately. It was a foolish decision. I guess I wasn’t even afraid of surgery. I showed them a photo of actress Kim Go-eun and asked, “Can my nasal tip become plump like this?” and they said yes. I didn’t ask detailed questions about this and that, and apparently I made quite a cool-headed decision. After the first surgery, the nasal bridge was protruding sideways, so when I asked what to do about that area, they said it could be shaved down. So I had a second surgery. Then as time passed, my nostrils started sticking together. So I went back, and I think they said they would add a bit more cartilage, so I had a third surgery. But after doing that, the costal cartilage particle powder formed a round lump in the center of my nasal bridge, so I had a fourth surgery. Like that, I had four surgeries at that clinic. The nasal bridge is so-so, but my nostrils are still like 11-shaped outlet holes. I thought about just living like this, but I’m searching around to see if removal might be possible, and whether reconstruction might be possible. This community existed back then too, but I regret myself for deciding just like that because I couldn’t be bothered to level upㅠ
