I originally had a thin, pretty double eyelid crease and lived very, very satisfied with it.. but from 6 years ago, one side kept coming undone, so I started looking into buried-suture double eyelid surgery for the first time. I only wanted one or two stitches placed at the front on the side that kept coming undone, but after searching online and visiting clinics, it seemed that wasn’t possible. I figured I might as well do it properly this time, so I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery (natural adhesion) in an in-out line, and to match even the subtle asymmetry (the asymmetry that only shows up on a regular camera.. you know..), I had ptosis correction on just one side + a very slight epicanthoplasty.
I worried a lot about epicanthoplasty scarring, but it was done cleanly, so I think it will barely remain (though I’m only on day 12, so I don’t know yet...) I like the line. I’m still waiting anxiously because the left side has bruising and the right side has swelling.
At first, when I saw that my eyes had become intense and wide-looking (since my original eyes were pretty..), I thought it was ruined, but as I watch the swelling slowly go down, I’m finding mental and physical stability.
* I lived without much interest in double eyelid surgery until now, so I didn’t know, but after researching it and doing it myself, I feel like I can tell all women who have had double eyelid surgery. It seems double eyelid surgery shows no matter how it’s done. If it really doesn’t look like surgery at all, that’s like winning the lottery....
* I think each clinic (each director) is good at different lines. The doctor I saw seems to make in-out lines look natural. (Personally, in-out looks much more natural to me than the semi-out line many people get. Personal preference.)
* Most reviews on surgery apps go through retouching by the clinic staff. Don’t trust them too much.
