Review of natural adhesion + front upper back lower canthoplasty / revision surgery / graphic photos warning / …

Po<day 24 + makeup + app>Po<day 16 + makeup + default camera + tensing/not tensing> I accidentally posted this in a different board and moved it here lol Except for the day 24 photo, all the photos were taken with the iPhone default camera

5 years ago: natural adhesion + epicanthoplasty This time: natural adhesion + front upper canthoplasty + back lower canthoplasty Reason for revision surgery: the line became thinner

This is my first revision in 5 years, and I had it during my period, so I bruised a lot and the swelling was severe. I thought the surgery had failed, but I guess I just had poor recovery? lol As the swelling goes down, I’m gradually becoming human again lol People say eye surgery is just a procedure, but that’s a lie It’s really hard If you’re thinking about getting it, do it when you’re a year younger^^ And epicanthoplasty, upper canthoplasty, back canthoplasty, and lower canthoplasty are really not easy… Think carefully before doing it!

I’ll upload the review I wrote by date as well. Let’s all get through our mentally rough periods and cheer up! Time heals everything!!

9/12 same day: Originally the surgery was scheduled for Fri 9/13 at 8:00 PM, but I kept telling the manager it was too late, so thankfully it was changed to Thu 9/12 at 4:30 PM Arrived at the hospital at 3:30 (payment & re-consultation with the manager, then signed consent forms) ~The long, long wait begins~ 6:30 Re-consultation and design with the doctor 7:00 Surgery begins 8:10 Surgery ends 8:50 Told me to open my eyes and go home After surgery, I came home and slept immediately (stacked 3 pillows and slept)

9/13 Day 1: Eyes hard to open / severe bloodshot bruising Ice packs every 2-3 hours (10 minutes each) Walk for 20 minutes (it’s so hot..) Avoid salty/spicy foods that cause swelling One packet of Danggwisusan, one Elase-A Vitamins / probiotics Use ophthalmic ointment to soften and gently wipe off scabs and eye gunk along the double-eyelid line -> remove scabs or foreign matter on the folding line so the line settles well Sleep with 3 pillows stacked For cleansing, only use cleansing water

9/14 Day 2: Eyes hard to open / bloodshot bruising Ice packs as needed Walk for 20 minutes One packet of Danggwisusan, one Elase-A Vitamins Probiotics Went to a hair salon to wash my hair Just slept with 1 pillow For cleansing, only use cleansing water

9/15 Day 3: Sensation returned around the eyes / blue bruising + bloodshot bruising Ice packs as needed Walk for 20 minutes One packet of Danggwisusan, one Elase-A Vitamins Probiotics Practicing opening my eyes For cleansing, foam cleanser + sea sponge

9/16 Day 4: Bloodshot bruising + yellow bruising Ice packs during the day (the sensation had returned a lot, so it felt too cold to do it for more than 10 minutes) In the afternoon, do cold -> warm -> cold in that order (warm compresses make it swell) Walk for 20 minutes Vitamins / probiotics Wash hair at home without getting water in the eyes Practice opening the eyes (holding the forehead and opening the eyes to help the line settle well) For cleansing, foam cleanser + sea sponge

9/17 Day 5: Bloodshot + yellow bruising Ice packs during the day Before sleeping: warm compress -> ice packs Walk for 40 minutes Vitamins / probiotics Practice opening the eyes For cleansing, foam cleanser + sea sponge

9/18 Day 6: Bloodshot + yellow bruising, dark circles Ice packs during the day Before sleeping: warm compress -> ice packs Walk for 1 hour Vitamins / probiotics Practice opening the eyes For cleansing, foam cleanser + sea sponge

9/19 Day 7: Day to remove stitches!!!! When I woke up in the morning, one stitch on the right side had already come out. I asked the hospital and they said it was okay if the stitch came out naturally because the wound area had already healed Bloodshot + yellow bruising Ice packs during the day Before sleeping: warm compress -> ice packs Walk for 30 minutes Vitamins / probiotics Practice closing the eyes

9/20 Day 8: Slight bloodshot bruising + a lot of yellow bruising Ice packs during the day Before sleeping: warm compress -> ice packs Couldn’t walk (because of the rain) Vitamins / probiotics Practice opening the eyes Apply ophthalmic ointment morning and evening (on the stitch removal sites)

9/21 Day 9: Originally there was conjunctival swelling in the right eye after surgery, but suddenly after lying down and getting up, blood came out of the right eye It didn’t hurt, I was just scared because there was blood, but when I asked the hospital they said trapped blood can come out, so I calmed down Ice packs during the day Warm compress before sleeping Vitamins / probiotics Practice opening the eyes Apply ophthalmic ointment morning and evening

9/22 Day 10: The swelling in my eyes went down unevenly, so the lines look different / the right front canthoplasty looks more severe / concern about milia at the front canthoplasty site / concern about milia at the back canthoplasty site I’m thinking it’ll get better with time When I smile, I feel a pulling sensation at the outer corner of my eye Ice packs during the day Warm compress before sleeping Vitamins / probiotics Apply ophthalmic ointment morning and evening

9/23 Day 11: Bruising only under the right eye Pulling at the outer corner when smiling For compresses, warm compress before sleeping Vitamins / probiotics Apply ophthalmic ointment morning and evening Walk for 30 minutes Came back from a dermatology laser treatment (exosome Potenza) Only the swelling in the right eye is going down slowly There is still milia and a pitted-looking scar at the stitch-removal site of the front canthoplasty

9/24 Day 12: Bruising under the right eye Less pulling at the outer corner when smiling Vitamins / probiotics Apply ophthalmic ointment morning and evening Walk for 30 minutes I’m worried it became a semi-out line because the left side is in-out / the right side had upper canthoplasty (I wanted an in-out line) A slight yellowish blood stain on the white of the left eye / clear broken blood vessels still remain on the right eye

9/25 Day 13: Slight bruising under the right eye Still a pulling sensation at the outer corner if I shut my eyes tightly Worried about asymmetry in the front canthoplasty Worried about milia at the front canthoplasty site Washing my face hard all the way up to the eyes is not possible

9/26 Day 14: The bruising under the right eye still hasn’t gone away If I close my eyes tightly, the outer corner still pulls Worried about milia at the front canthoplasty site; the asymmetry is improving as the swelling goes down

9/27 Day 15: Slight bruising under the right eye Swelling has improved a lot It seems like I’ll be able to go to work wearing glasses

9/28 Day 16: Did my makeup very carefully When removing it, the front canthoplasty area turned red, so I put on ophthalmic ointment and went to sleep After walking around outside for 8 hours, the swelling went down I still need to wear thick-rimmed glasses because of the swelling

9/29 Day 17: Still feel a pulling sensation at the outer corner when I shut my eyes tightly Can go to work wearing thick-rimmed glasses The bruising has almost disappeared too

9/30 Day 18: Went to work Maybe because of the canthoplasty, my eyes keep feeling dry My eyes get tired easily when I work The front canthoplasty area turned red

10/4 Day 22: When I close my eyes tightly and open them, there is pulling at the front and back There is a pulling feeling when I close and open the right eye (The left eye feels nothing) Eye discharge builds up easily and the eyes feel dry

10/7 Day 25: Right eye - every time I close and open it, there is a pulling and stiff feeling; not sure if it’s because of swelling or if the surgery went wrong (anxious) The front part of the line looks like a semi-out line, so I’m worried Left eye - it has a pretty in-out line, but the end of the line feels a bit crumpled? so I’m worried When I go to work, my eyes are swollen in the morning and settle down in the afternoon; by afternoon, my eyes feel tired There is a hard lump at the inner corner of the eye When I close my eyes tightly or smile, the back of the eye pulls My smiling expression feels awkward

10/8 It was always swollen in the morning, but now it’s less swollen to the point that I can go to work The right eye still feels pulling
