Nose Surgery Reviews

Nose surgery, day 8 (long post warning)

Before/after/after/after I had always had a complex about my long, hooked nose, so I had been thinking about surgery for a long time. After my consultation at K Plus, I felt certain and decided to have the surgery.

Unlike other places where the consultation is done with a consultant, I liked that I could have an overall consultation with the director. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what kind of nose line would suit me, so I only mentioned a celebrity whose nose I usually thought was pretty and asked them to create a line that would suit me. At other places, I was recommended osteotomy + hump shaving + silicone for the nasal bridge + donated costal cartilage, but at K Plus they said it would be possible with customized silicone + ear cartilage, so I think that was one reason I ultimately chose K Plus :) On top of that, the director was very kind, and I strongly felt that they cared about the patient.

After surgery, breathing was uncomfortable only while the cotton was inside my nose, and other than that, there was nothing particularly uncomfortable! Until day 2, I had slight pain in my nose, but it was pain that went away with Tylenol, so it was better than I expected. I also slept sitting up until day 2, and after that I slept lying on my back in a straight position with my pillow raised high. I think my bruising and swelling were less severe compared with my friends around me. On day 3, my eyes were a little swollen, so I bought swelling medication at the pharmacy and took it, and I think it helped me a lot. I tried hard to do cold compresses, warm compresses, and walks. Honestly, for food, I just avoided extremely irritating foods like tteokbokki and ate what I wanted.

For aftercare, when the cotton was removed, I had one swelling laser treatment, and when the splint was removed, I had one more swelling laser treatment. I also had a little swelling between my eyebrows, so they gave me a swelling injection there too. Every time I went, they asked if I had any questions, so I felt grateful for no reason haha. I didn’t really have anything to ask, but still, it felt like they were thinking of the patient.   To talk about the most important thing, the postoperative result! In conclusion, I’m completely satisfied. It has only been 8 days, but it doesn’t feel too artificial, and I think it blends well with my facial features. I think there is still quite a lot of swelling around the nasal ala? area, but when viewed from the side, I’m very satisfied with the line. I’m looking forward to how it will look once more swelling goes down haha. I want it to last a long, long time without side effects. I’ll try my best :)
