It has been 6 months since my alar base reduction, and in a week it will be heading toward 7 months. Is there anyone who had the same surgery as me whose alar bases were reduced too excessively, so the area above and below the philtrum and the nasal floor feel so tight that there is no looseness, and the sides of the alar bases are pulled so much that they can barely move? I also had columella improvement surgery, and that area is also very uncomfortable right now. Since the method that had been placed in the middle was removed, I am watching it for more time, but centered around the nose, upward, downward, and to both sides, there is so little elasticity that it is uncomfortable. When it is severe, I have pressure and a shriveling sensation over the entire side surface of the nose (the whole area where the alar base is located), and on the inner side where the alar reduction was done through a minimal incision inside the nose (especially severe on the right), I have an uncomfortable foreign-body sensation and other symptoms overall that I do not know whether they can be relieved, so I am having very difficult days.. The area where the columella and philtrum meet (under the nose) is affected by the pulling for so long that it stings. How on earth can they pull a person's nose like this and operate on it to the point that it cannot move at all... I went because they said they were a specialized hospital for alar base reduction and had a lot of experience, but it is hard to understand.. I did not ask them to reduce it excessively; I asked them to do it naturally, just enough to reduce my complex... The surgery hospital says that since they removed the part that had lifted the columella, I should wait another 6 months from the time of removal and then talk to them... There are 2 months left.. I have also been taking Rizaben for 4 months, but it has no effect.. I do not think the alar reduction area is being affected by scar tissue anymore.. I was so focused only on the pulling in my nose that I did not realize it, but recently I compared my nose with photos from before surgery, checked it from different angles, and looked closely in the mirror. The right side of my nose, where the pulling is worst, was pulled so much during surgery and affected so much that the skin on the side of my nose has tiny splits.. like stretch marks from suddenly gaining weight.. The pulling and excessive tightening symptoms have not improved even 1% with time; rather, as time passes, it feels fixed in place and is even more uncomfortable... Right now, my main purpose is not to complain to the hospital, but I am most curious whether there is any reconstructive method that could relieve this even a little so daily life is not uncomfortable... For the time being, I will try to endure the 2 more months the hospital mentioned and look for methods as much as possible.. If I have to live the rest of my life in this uncomfortable state from the moment I wake up until I fall asleep, I want to follow around everyone who wants alar base reduction and stop them.. That is how uncomfortable it is... Quite a lot of time has passed, but why is it getting even more uncomfortable.. Today it feels like it is even interfering with breathing, so it is harder~~ If anyone has even a slightly helpful experience or even a small piece of information about reconstruction, please reply... I want to hold onto even a speck of hope. The decision is up to each person, but from my experience, it is really better to avoid nose surgery if possible, and even if you do it, I do not recommend irreversible alar base reduction.. ㅠㅠ I need to see even a little hope that it will get better.. but looking at the symptoms over time, it is not improving at all..
