Before Before<before surgery>After<around day 20 after the previous surgery?? Around then>After After<recent photo!>Other people might think, “Was there really a need to go as far as facial contouring?” but I had a lot of concerns because of asymmetry that was slightly noticeable at first glance If it felt like I had candy tucked into both cheeks, maybe that would be one thing, but only one side looked especially prominent, so it showed in photos and bothered me, and I ended up looking into facial contouring... Honestly, anyone who has worried about their face shape even once will know that half of how well you come out in photos is already decided by face shape.. My facial features were okay, but because my face shape was uneven and asymmetrical, I felt especially self-conscious when taking photos compared with how I looked in person.. haha
Honestly, just from reviews there were so many hospitals I liked that I think I had a hard time choosing one.. Including hospitals I was recommended and places I found myself, I visited five places in total (since it’s my face being operated on, I didn’t want to look into it casually and do it just anywhere). Among them, I ruled out one hospital that had an over-treatment vibe and gave a rushed consultation because they were busy, and after thinking it over many times, I finally decided lol I did triple fixation for my cheekbones, a long-curve mandible reduction for my square jaw, and genioplasty advancement for the front chin, so I had the three-part procedure. Honestly, I didn’t think my before-and-after difference was that huge, but when I saw the CT images, it was literally a complete transformation lololol Right after surgery, just as I’d heard, I had a bit of sore throat?? and especially a lot of phlegm built up, but the nurse told me not to force it out, so I barely held it in while swallowing saliva and water... Honestly, it would be a 100% lie to say facial contouring pain doesn’t hurt, but after the first day, it became bearable. I don’t know if that means I got used to the pain...?? Anyway, once I got through the first day in a daze and came to my senses, maybe because of the antibiotics and painkillers, from the next afternoon it was livable!
If I had to pick what was hard, it was having to sleep facing upward and being careful with food Even though I’m usually not the type with much appetite, I didn’t need anything else and really wanted ramen, sigh... haha I didn’t know I’d long so much to chew and eat something with my own teeth lolol Because of my cheekbones, I was careful not to open my mouth wide for three months, and even when yawning I was always extremely tense. Also, after eating anything except water, I always gargled, and although this was a bit bothersome and hard at first, later it became a habit and I became a neat freak.
My swelling and bruising weren’t that severe, so I went back to work without difficulty from a week later, and from week 2 I just.. did pretty much everything in daily life without trouble?? (Of course, I was careful with things like opening my mouth.) At first my friends said my face was already slim enough, so why would I do facial contouring?? But when they compared my pre-op and post-op photos, they said my face line really changed and the whole vibe changed dramatically lololol It feels worth it to have paid a lot for the surgery. From month 5, sensation had almost all returned, and I think I could fit all three fingers in my mouth. I have one follow-up check left now, and now that I’m about to completely graduate, I feel strangely relieved but also a little sad ~.~
