I was going to write a review after one month had passed, maybe around the two-month mark? But there are a lot of holidays and nothing much to do, so I opened my phone memo app and started writing a review~~ First, while talking about the early post-op period, a few things I would recommend preparing are
1) Zero-gravity chair (I lived in this for 2 weeks) 2) Back scratcher (useful when your back itches) 3) Nipple patches 4) Aloe soothing gel (I bought it as a substitute for stretch mark cream, and it was good) 5) Massage ball (it felt good to massage the neck lymph nodes and the muscles between the collarbones)
Those are the things that came to mind. Also, after general anesthesia, my throat felt a bit scratchy, and I thought of things like ion drinks and barley tea.. In my case, the manager at ㄱㄹ brought me Pocari after fasting ended, so I drank that. If there is a drink you usually like, it might be good to bring it in advance!
For reference, my condition was honestly almost painless on the day of surgery, so I was discharged and took the bus home by myself.. I was going to take a taxi, but I felt I didn’t really need to. Aside from the bandage feeling a bit tight and stuffy, nothing was hard. It wasn’t rush hour either, so I just sat on the bus, listened to music on my AirPods, and went home. When I got home, I first lay on the bed, but I felt pressure from the breast implants? and felt like my body was swelling more and more, so I immediately crawled over to the zero-gravity chair and slept there. Oh, and on surgery day: zip-up hoodie + sweatpants + Crocs. I strongly recommend loose clothes. I went bare-faced without even putting on lotion! Abdominal swelling is no joke, so I recommend wearing pants with an elastic waistband instead of pants with buttons or zippers...
For a while after surgery, I didn’t go out for plans and stayed home. Fortunately, I don’t have a job, so without needing to think about annual leave, I just stayed home and rested like I was recuperating! At home, I have a small lymph node massage ball that fits right in the hand. When I used it to massage the area below the collarbone and the lymph nodes around the neck, it felt like circulation improved a lot and the swelling started going down, starting from my face? They say severe abdominal swelling can also cause constipation, but maybe because I ate a lot of spicy food, I didn’t have constipation symptoms. My abdominal swelling also returned to normal after a week, and there wasn’t much difference in my weight. I wondered if I’m just the type who handles surgery well..
Still, what was uncomfortable was that unlike before, when I used my arms, I could feel my chest muscles moving, so I ended up using my shoulder muscles more..? And when I had to cross a crosswalk quickly or run for any reason, I couldn’t move as fast as before Because my breasts protrude, there is weight to them and I’m conscious of them, so I can’t run as lightly as before. Also, early on, the tips of my nipples were very sensitive. Even just brushing against something caused a tingling pain, so I kept wearing nipple patches. + Keeping the early follow-up appointment schedule is surprisingly hard.. Even after my bandages were removed, I went once on day 3, once at week 1, again at week 2, again at week 3, and went every week.
But!! I’m very satisfied with the size and shape, so I have no regrets about the surgery. The clinic also gave such attentive, close care that I was able to have the surgery comfortably, and their aftercare is so thorough that I wondered if it was really okay to receive this much care. (I have to keep receiving care for the next year) They check my progress even more diligently than I do, and communication with the manager is also very good.. It feels like, this is what a specialized clinic is!! So I think I really made a good choice with both the surgery and the clinic From the start, I had the surgery because I wanted to get away from having small breasts, but I also didn’t want very large breasts, you know? The swelling hasn’t all gone down yet, so I don’t know the exact size, but it seems like I’m around the C cup I had in mind, so I’m even more, more satisfied!!
Once the residual swelling goes down more and the implants naturally settle downward and the shape forms, I’m planning to write a review then with photos, chest circumference, and other details revealed in detail!!
For reference, I had Motiva, dual-plane, 300 cc, through an armpit incision, and I only started carrying heavy things little by little after 2 weeks. In the beginning, I was extremely careful. Everyone, you really, really have to be careful in the early post-op period.. For people here who don’t have office jobs and do some other physically demanding work, I recommend resting as fully as you can for about 1 to 2 weeks. Even if the surgery itself is not a big deal, the recovery period needs a lot of careful attention, so I think it’s best to plan your schedule with plenty of room!
