I had previously gotten Botox on my forehead and glabella at another clinic, and I went along with an acquaintance and got it casually. But my eyes felt so heavy and my double eyelids were half covered, so I was told to speak with the director and visited the clinic. Without a single word of apology, they immediately started explaining things like how Botox works, said they had injected the standard dose and there was no problem with the procedure, that they actually wanted to inject more, that it is not permanent and would get better over time, to wait, that it is better to open my eyes a bit drowsily, to open them that way, etc. (It sounded like they were telling me to open my eyes about half as much as usual, so the double eyelid would not show.) They said irresponsible things I was not even curious about. As if I did not know that. I had gotten it at another clinic before and this had never happened, so I asked if that itself was not a side effect, and whether I had to endure this stress for at least several months until the Botox effect wore off. They cut me off and said it was not several months, but 3 weeks. They said there is nothing special they can do about Botox and just kept repeating that it was not a side effect. When I went on day 6, they said, “It has only been 6 days, why did you come?” and acted dumbfounded, saying this is when the effect is at its best. Who is the one in the absurd situation here lol. On top of that, they seemed stressed about repeating what they had already said and kept trying to lecture me. I do not know if that is the right attitude ^^ They said there are many people worse than me and that it means the Botox effect is good, but shouldn’t it be adjusted differently depending on each person’s eye shape and muscles? After searching a lot, I saw that this kind of side effect happens often when the area above the eyebrows is injected. Could they not even catch that one thing? When I got it at another clinic, it was fine, and the person who received it is uncomfortable and stressed, so is that nothing? Not a misjudgment on their part? They basically told me to just look in the mirror alone every day, be stressed, and put up with it because there is nothing they can do. Throughout the whole time they were speaking, they kept sighing deeply or talking while laughing, which was so unpleasant. When I asked for at least a refund, they said, “So you need money? Fine then~” and refunded the amount for the forehead Botox excluding the glabella Botox. While writing down my account information, I asked the desk staff if cases like this are common, and they said that level of discomfort can happen and that there are many people worse than me. It felt like they had no empathy at all for what I was saying while complaining of side effects. I spent my time going to the clinic and felt like I was being lectured and gaslit for 30 minutes haha. Do they think I went to the clinic just to get a mere 40,000 won refunded? The director even said that giving me that money was easier than spending time explaining like this, and I feel exactly the same. I went there to become prettier, but now I am leaving with only more stress for at least the next few weeks ~ If it reaches 3 weeks and it does not come back? What if it comes back but not to my previous eyes? While speaking, they said I might have to get my eyes touched, but why should I have to suffer that kind of financial and time loss? My eye line, which many other people compliment and I also like, may change too. If it were surgery, would they recommend it that lightly? Throughout the conversation, all I could do was laugh in disbelief. If their attitude had been normal, I would not have bothered writing a review, but at the very least, when a dissatisfied customer comes in, think about caring for them. I am in my late 20s but felt like I had become a student because they kept trying to lecture me! For now, 3 weeks, and if it still is not resolved after 2 more weeks, I will go back, so take responsibility for what you said. You firmly said more than 3 times that it would return in 3 weeks.
While speaking with the director, I showed before-and-after photos, and they said, “How can photos taken prettily with an app be the same as real life?” Reflecting that opinion, I will also upload photos taken with an app after makeup. Even if the eye size is a bit different, the eye shape and double-eyelid line should not change, right?
