I’m 3 months post-op from breast surgery~~ From one week to one month, I thought time really wasn’t passing, but now that it has passed, it feels like time went by fast? Since I’m already at 3 months...?!
When I was looking into breast surgery, I didn’t really know about this community yet, so I searched through reviews like crazy on plastic surgery apps and cafes ((breast surgery experience, detail of the doctor’s consultation, aftercare provided by the hospital, etc......)) and, by my standards, I worked hard visiting clinics without missing a single thing to find the hospital where I would have surgery.
For implants, I got Mentor Xtra! Since my breasts were uneven, I had 295 cc put in the left and 270 cc in the right~ I had been debating the incision site, but since I’m unmarried and the doctor recommended the transaxillary approach, I got it done through the armpit!
For reference, everyone, usually it’s divided into inframammary incision/transaxillary incision, right? But they said the transaxillary approach is a much more difficult surgery, so newly opened hospitals or hospitals with little experience mostly do inframammary incisions.... At the place where I had mine done, the doctor recommended the transaxillary approach with real confidence (of course, I checked the experience before the consultation), and explained everything about how the surgery would proceed and how the transaxillary incision area would change after surgery.
My rib cage isn’t on the large side, so if the size was too excessive, I was worried that from the side it would have that specific rocket-launching..? look. The doctor matched me to a full C cup that looks natural but still voluminous, and before surgery I wondered, “Ah, is this too small?” but now I think it was much~ better to make it this size. Natural really is the best bb I guess there’s a reason you check experience before going.
Anyway, even with close friends, at first I didn’t say a single thing like “I like it” or “it’s good,” since it was something no one would know about, you know? I’m saying it here too because it has been 3 months now, but I think getting the surgery.... was really the right decision. Compared with the time I spent stressed because of my breasts, the satisfaction I get from surgery is higher, and in any case I overcame my complex, so I’m satisfied with that alone.
The doctor said I still need to watch it steadily for 6 months and manage it safely, so I’m moving and living while trying not to overdo it as much as possible haha.. After one or two months passed, there wasn’t much major pain, so I think it’s okay. I really recommend it to everyone looking into breast surgery!
