After cheekbone reduction and deep buccal fat removal, my anterior cheeks sagged to a severe degree. I tried a mini lift and thread lifting, but the effects were minimal. While looking into bone reconstruction, I went for a consultation at a clinic, and the director said reconstruction was not the issue and recommended a subperiosteal lift. It was a procedure I had never heard of, so I searched a lot through various communities and looked for reviews too, but there were only one or two satisfied people and otherwise just side-effect cases. I asked a lot of questions about side effects on the director’s blog, had two in-person consultations, and after thinking about it a lot for 2 months, I had the surgery with the mindset of trusting them just one last time. It has been a little under 2 months since surgery, but I’m really satisfied with the results. My anterior cheeks really did lift. My nasolabial folds also became lighter. There were no reviews of that clinic’s subperiosteal lift, and I agonized so much before deciding on surgery. Thinking about it now, I wish I had just done it earlier, because after my cheekbone surgery I went through such a hard time that I wanted to die. I hope only people who truly need cheekbone surgery do it, and do it cautiously. Now it seems quite a few people have had a subperiosteal lift there. When I did it, there were no reviews, so I couldn’t even ask for advice. For those suffering emotionally from cheek sagging after cheekbone surgery, try getting a consultation at that clinic.
