Posting my pre-op nose review after the before-and-after-after-after surgery photos, I feel like I’m seeing it again after a long time. Originally, the whole line from between my eyebrows to the nasal tip was bumpy, and the nasal tip in particular looked unpleasant, so my impression didn’t look neat. When I looked at people with nice noses, their noses rose up cleanly and openly, and the nasal bridge was straight too. I was so envious of that, you know? I think that’s why I started looking into surgery.
While looking into nose surgery, I also learned about functional rhinoplasty, and it turns out people get it as treatment for rhinitis? My allergic rhinitis was severe, so mainly the left side of my nose would get blocked. I worried about what if that got worse after surgery, but they said if I had surgery together with functional rhinoplasty, the synergy would be good, so I think that’s how I ended up getting the surgery.
I was in a state where I really lacked knowledge, but Director Lee Sung-hoon at GNG kindly explained it in a way I could understand. He explained clearly that my nose needed osteotomy, and for the functional part, he said if I had septal deviation surgery and rhinitis surgery together, the part that kept being blocked could be resolved. Honestly, even though it was my own nose, there were many parts I understood less about, but after hearing the explanation and getting surgery, I had expectations about which parts would improve after surgery too.
For the nose design, I said I wanted it to look natural but different from before, so the director designed it with care, and it came out exactly as designed, so I’m very happy. The nasal obstruction that was only on the left side has improved, and my sleep quality has improved too.
