Looking at the before photos, I was lifting my eyebrows a lot too.. My eyes were really serious;; haha
I was so timid that I was even scared of getting an injection in the buttocks, so I barely went to hospitals.. Surgery was something I couldn’t even dream of..
Now I’m in my mid-20s, and no one my age goes around using double-eyelid glue, so after thinking and thinking about it, I decided to have surgery.
An acquaintance had surgery at the same hospital, and after seeing with my own eyes that it turned out so natural, I thought I should go with this hospital. I still had consultations at about 7 other hospitals, but after seeing my acquaintance’s eyes, I already liked this hospital so much.. lol
Both the consultant and the director kindly gave me consultations, so I decided on the surgery date on the day of the consultation.
I’m really timid, so I was nervous every day.. Because of that, I canceled the surgery twice in the middle and then scheduled the surgery date again, but the consultant never once got annoyed and persuaded me, so I safely made it through the surgery.. haha I was being such a difficult patient..
I couldn’t sleep until the day of surgery, but once I actually went in for the surgery, I wasn’t as nervous as I thought..(?) My legs were shaking though..
The nurses in the operating room were kind, and the surgery center was also very clean.
I slept briefly during the local anesthesia, and from the start of the surgery I was fully conscious (shudder). I could feel things, yes..! But there was no pain at all. They said the surgery would take 1 hour, but it felt like time passed really quickly. It felt like about 20 minutes..? They also ask you to open your eyes a lot.
Maybe because I was fully conscious from the beginning, I didn’t feel dizzy either, and I was discharged almost right away. Even after going home, I had no pain or anything! Maybe because I had eye shape correction, they told me to come in so they could check whether the symmetry was right, so I went to the hospital and had a progress check too! I heard it hurts when the stitches are removed, so I searched a lot of posts at the cafe and was worried, but.. the nurse did it carefully, and although it stung a bit, it didn’t hurt.
Every time I went for follow-up, the director checked everything carefully! They said I’d get a boyfriend soon.. haha nice^^
Now that 3 weeks have passed, a lot of the swelling is going down, and there is much less swelling in the evening than in the morning, so I like it. My acquaintances all say the surgery went well haha Right now, only the inner corner area on the right side.. has developed a little scar tissue.. so I don’t think the symmetry at the inner corners matches well, but.. once the swelling goes down, I’ll take photos again at week 5 and show you how it turned out! Other than that, even to my eyes, it’s only been 3 weeks but it looks so natural and pretty. I think it’ll be much prettier once the swelling goes down more haha I don’t really go for walks.. so I think recovery is a bit slow, but since the weather has warmed up, I should go on lots of walks!
