Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> I had incisional eye-shape correction, epicanthoplasty, and posterior lower canthoplasty. I had monolids with no eyelid line at all, and my eyes were small too, so I got all the canthoplasty procedures as well. My eyes are not exactly on the small side, but they were a bit droopy, so every place I went for a consultation told me to do an incisional method lol..
At first, the swelling got really bad to the point where I could barely see in front of me, and I wondered if the line had been made too strong and overwhelming. But after the swelling went down, it settled into an inner double eyelid. But you know how people are.. once it became an inner double eyelid, I worried again that it might not look like I had surgery at all. But maybe because I did eye-shape correction together, my eyes became more defined and the line shows thinly, so I was relieved. What I worried about most was that my eyes might look too greasy or overly intense if it went wrong, but they got bigger without looking greasy, so I’m satisfied. If your eyes are like mine and double eyelid surgery feels too much, try eye-shape correction at least. It does make them look more defined and a bit bigger.
Because it was incisional, I was anxious until right before surgery that the line would come out thick, but not every incisional result is thick lol. It’s been a little over 4 months, and when I look straight ahead, the line looks thin; when I look slightly downward, the line shows more. It’s not too thin, so I’m satisfied!
