I’m from outside Seoul, and I went to Seoul to meet a friend, but I had an awkward amount of time left, so that same day I called around and made consultation appointments. There were more hospitals I originally wanted to go to, but the other hospitals said same-day consultation appointments were full, so I only went to places that were available, and none of them charged a consultation fee. I chose all of them just by looking at review photos I liked. Since I was debating whether or not to do entropion surgery, I asked each hospital about it.
1. ㅍㄹㅁㅇ I requested an appointment through the ㄱㄴㅇㄴ app, and they said same-day consultation was possible, so I went. I got confused about the way and was about 5 minutes late. I waited about 30 minutes, but there weren’t many people. I consulted with the consultant first for about 10 minutes, then with the director I requested for about 5 minutes, then again with the consultant for about 10 minutes. Since this was my first hospital, I was really nervous, and they recommended incision + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty + entropion surgery. But somehow it felt like they were only doing it casually and formally, and my eyes are not eyes that necessarily need incision, but they recommended incision. I also felt pressured to pay a deposit, and since it was my first consultation I was already very nervous, but I also felt a bit burdened, so I didn’t like it.
2. ㅍㅇ (English) Here, I didn’t consult with the director at all and only consulted with the consultant. Here, I was told that I probably didn’t necessarily need incision or entropion surgery, and they answered the things I asked carefully. They found eyes similar to mine, showed me photos of the line I wanted, and understood the points I wanted well, so I liked it. Somehow I did put down a deposit there, but compared with No. 1, the contract deposit here was twice as expensive. Honestly, I liked everything, but it was a bit disappointing that I couldn’t see the director. Also, since I’m from outside Seoul, it doesn’t really apply to me, but they said the swelling care package is unlimited, so I can come whenever I want. Here, it was natural adhesion + complete subcutaneous fat cleanup + ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty.
3. ㄴㄴ Here, almost as soon as I arrived, I went into consultation with the consultant. But there was originally a director I wanted, and at that time my phone died, so I forgot who it was. For now, the consultant said she would arbitrarily assign me the best director. We kept consulting, and then she said she would bring the director, but I waited for 1 hour.. lol The doctor they assigned was delayed because of surgery, so in the end they attached a different doctor to me. Even though I was assigned arbitrarily, the director here checked my lines the most carefully, found a type similar to mine well, and answered what I was curious about well, so I liked it. Here, they also recommended lateral and lower canthoplasty, but it was that it would suit me well if I did it, not that they were forcing it. So they told me the price including lateral and lower canthoplasty and the price excluding it separately. Here, with a discount on the condition that I reveal my face, it was the cheapest of the three, and they said I could get the same price without putting down a separate deposit, so except for the long wait, the consultation itself was okay. Here, it was non-incision + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty, and lateral and lower canthoplasty was just optional.
There are many people around me who have had surgery, but I went after looking into it pretty hard on my own. Since it was my first time going, I was really nervous, and because it’s my first double eyelid surgery, I thought it wouldn’t cost that much, but after adding this and that, all of them are close to 2 million won. That’s normal, right..??
