Hi, I’m a woman in my early 20s who wore glasses + contact lenses since elementary school.. I had LASEK surgery in 2022!
I had really severe astigmatism and myopia, but both were corrected well, and my current vision is 1.2 and 1.0. It has dropped a little compared to the beginning, but there’s no problem at all
I think there are a lot of people worried about glare and halos, but hmm... I wasn’t that worried about that because I wore contact lenses for a long time (I wore hard, soft, and ortho-k lenses) so glare and halos naturally became part of life lol I don’t really feel like it’s gotten worse than back then
Oh, there is some dryness, but it’s still so~~~ comfortable that even if I could go back, I think I’d still get LASEK
And as for pain, well? On day 3, the stinging in the eyes is really bad, but for me it was bearable. I also considered SMILE LASIK, but the director looked at my corneal thickness and recommended LASEK for astigmatism correction, so I ended up doing LASEK
For now, I recommend LASEK~!
