Issues -I have a lot of eyelid fat, but since it was my first surgery, they told me to just do it with buried sutures -I said I wouldn’t do canthoplasty =Conclusion: I ended up with a very, very thin double-eyelid line, with no major difference from before surgery
The eyes I want -Raise the line (inline > in-out or semi-out) -Canthoplasty (I want my eyes to look more open and refreshed, without going overboard)
DRS (consultation time: 20 minutes) -Diagnosis: revision incision + ptosis correction + lateral and lower canthoplasty -Consultation started after about a 15-minute wait. There weren’t many people when I went -They said revision is possible since 6 months have passed -They shaped the line with a toothpick (didn’t hurt). Because my eye-opening strength is weak, they recommended doing ptosis correction together -They said it’s unfortunate that I didn’t do it together during the first surgery, but if I do it together this time during revision, my eye-opening strength will definitely improve and my eyes will look clearer from the front -They said a semi-out line suits me better than an overly natural line -They said canthoplasty can be done however I want. In the end, I decided to do only lateral and lower canthoplasty -But compared to what I expected, I felt they gave me too much decision-making authority when deciding on the canthoplasty Since it’s a revision, I felt like I must not fail this time, so I wanted to hear some advice? too But it felt like, it’s fine to do everything the way I want.. It may be good for people that matches well with
CY (consultation time: 30 minutes) -Diagnosis: revision incision + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty -The director came in wearing surgical scrubs. Even while going around for consultations for my first surgery, it was my first time seeing a director come in wearing scrubs, so it was interesting + flustering -For revision, they recommended an in-out line. They said the current line is too low, so it doesn’t have much effect when seen from the front, and that my eyes would benefit much more from revision -Here, after looking at my eyes, they said it would be better to make the front sharper with epicanthoplasty rather than the back (lateral and lower canthoplasty isn’t completely impossible though) -Kind and didn’t feel pushy. I felt the director explained things pretty comfortably. But the in-out line they made for me felt a little more natural than what I expected. I think this will come down to preference -They said revision doesn’t necessarily mean incision, but for my eyes, since the droopy eye shape needs to be corrected while raising the line, it has to be done with incision -Overall, the consultation felt easygoing and without anything uncomfortable
RBR (consultation time: 30 minutes) -Diagnosis: revision incision + lateral and lower canthoplasty -Before shaping the line, they first checked whether revision was possible, and that made the clinic feel professional -They checked things like whether there was enough skin, whether there was anything wrong with having done buried sutures during the first surgery, and explained all of that to me. Fortunately, they said revision was possible, so I told them the line and canthoplasty I wanted and listened to the explanation -Here, they said I don’t need separate ptosis correction They said ptosis correction itself is a surgery suitable for people with ptosis, and if it’s overcorrected or undercorrected, it can be less effective than not doing it -They said the droopy-looking eyes and faint line can be addressed by raising the double-eyelid line more and enlarging the eyes with canthoplasty -The director checked all the space available for canthoplasty and recommended it, and said we should do an in-out line. They honestly said a semi-out line would be too excessively high for my eyes (they said even if raised thinly, it could look ambiguous) -And I was worried about scarring because it’s revision, but they said scarring doesn’t become worse just because it’s revision. Since the surgery involves excising skin through incision, the scar could actually be less this time -After going to the third consultation, I had gained some confidence about revision, and it was easy to compare, so I think it was good that I went to all of them in one day
For now, I like them in the order RBR>CY>DRS, but it’s not final yet. I’m planning to go to one or two more consultations next week and then decide
