Before <pre-op half-side view>Before <pre-op side view>Before <pre-op front view>Before <post-op> I had hump removal / shaping the nasal tip angle / filling between the hump area and nasal tip / autologous costal cartilage surgery, and I had my stitches removed today.
First, overall, I think they did it well without any accidents, but I have a few questions..
Question: My nose feels higher and pointier than expected, and I’m curious how much more swelling will go down from here as of today (day 17). If it stays this height even after the swelling goes down, I think I’ll have to consider whether to have revision surgery or removal. When I only look in the mirror at home, I still have yellow bruising and a slight bruised-looking area (?) around the eyes. I’d also like to hear an objective assessment of how the surgery turned out.
To be honest, I’m not extremely satisfied. Maybe my changed face feels a little foreign? It still feels unfamiliar.. When I smile or eat, I also feel quite a lot of unfamiliarity and discomfort..
Anyway, I want to know how much more swelling will go down from here, and if even after it goes down it’s not the shape I want, I want to save as much time as possible and think about revision surgery, but I have absolutely no idea what the final shape will look like once the swelling goes down, and the doctor also doesn’t give an exact answer, so I want to get some advice from people with experience..
