I had secondary epicanthoplasty restoration with Director Song Seung-wook at Secret Plastic Surgery!
Before surgery, my eyes had already been restored once, but the right and left sides were not symmetrical, and especially my left eye had not been restored well. Besides that, I had a feeling that my eyes didn’t close completely when I closed them, so it was stressful!! I’ll show my pre-op photos
Since it had been about 6 months since my first surgery using the V-Y restoration method, I went to Secret because they said the second one would be done with a reverse skin-redraping method!
First, I went to consultations at several clinics (mainly looking for double-flap and reverse skin-redraping methods), and I trusted the director when he said definite shape improvement was possible, so I paid the reservation deposit right away and had surgery the next day. I wanted to do it as quickly as possible..
First of all, what I wanted was “restoration that balances both sides while not making the distance between the eyes much wider,” and in conclusion, I think it turned out well!
And in my case, my left eye in particular had severe scar tissue, and because it wasn’t my first surgery, I was really worried
The surgery was done by briefly putting me under sedation, then doing local anesthesia around the eyes, waking me up, and proceeding while continuously checking! They were meticulous, so I think it took about an hour and a half
To get to the point, this is a photo from post-op day 13, taken after applying ointment.
The distance between my eyes really increased only slightly. About 1 mm? And the thing I feel the most and am most satisfied with is that when I close my eyes, they close completely.
Honestly, someone might think, “But the lacrimal caruncle is still visible?” But I didn’t want the distance between my eyes to become too wide, and I already had too little spare skin from the previous epicanthoplasty and restoration..^^ Compared to before, the scar tissue has definitely decreased and the shape has changed, so I’m satisfied. I just really hope it doesn’t reopen..
Also, since this was a secondary restoration and my skin had become very weak, I decided to accept some scarring, but they said this will also improve a lot with time! I’m relieved it’s not as severe as I expected. More than anything, the director pays even more attention than I do and takes good care of things like regeneration injections, scar injections, and forehead Botox, so I’m not too worried!
If I imagine the scars disappearing and the tissue filling in from the current shape, I really like it, but because this is a secondary restoration, I think I’ll need to be careful for a long time. Opening my eyes wide, using my forehead, all of those are things I need to be careful about, but I hadn’t heard any of this during my first restoration…
Anyway, since this is the progress of a secondary restoration, I plan to keep bringing reviews even if nobody asks me to!! There really aren’t many reviews of secondary epicanthoplasty restoration..
I’m saying this just in case: it’s true that I received a discount from Secret Plastic Surgery on the condition of writing a partial review! But the reason I’m writing this in this community instead of a cosmetic surgery app is that, now at 2 weeks, I’m personally really satisfied, and especially with restoration, it often feels like clinics that do so much viral marketing are everything..^^ So I want everyone to look into it a lot and decide carefully... After my first surgery failed, that was what I regretted the most...!
Anyway, hoping this will be my last epicanthoplasty restoration... I’ll bring another review!!!
