Nose silicone removal

Before<Before>After<After>I also spent years looking up reviews here and there, staying up all night, crying, and agonizing over it... I finally had it removed and came to write this post. I’m writing this to tell people like me to stay strong. That everything will be okay, and that we should love ourselves more.... First of all, I was genuinely unattractive. Small eyes, a low nose, protruding cheekbones, that typical East Asian look... So ever since I was young, I heard a lot that I was ugly, and my self-esteem was low. I walked around looking at the ground, and couldn’t even order food properly... Then, at the young age of 21, on my aunt’s recommendation, I had plastic surgery without much thought. Double eyelids, nose, even cheekbones.... With my changed appearance, I gained confidence and lived that way. I also heard a lot that I was pretty. Then starting last year, 14 years later, the topic of side effects from nose surgery suddenly became stuck in my head and tormented me. I felt like there was some implant show-through, like my nose hurt, wondered if it was inflammation, and worried that the silicone might protrude through the mucous membrane inside my nose... all sorts of things. I searched YouTube, blogs, community posts, and so on for days and nights, stayed up all night, and got so worried that I went for consultations at plastic surgery clinics. People talk about the top 3 removal clinics in Seoul, but I live in a rural area, and Seoul is 5 hours one way. Since it was only consultations at first, I went to about 7 places in Busan. But at most of them, I was told that I didn’t really have side effects and that since I was still at an age where appearance matters, I could keep it in longer. I wasn’t married yet either, so I thought I should keep it a bit longer and spent my busy daily life that way. Then this summer, when my condition dropped, my nose started to throb. From then on, I started worrying again. Is it inflammation? I heard that if you have silicone, contracture comes little by little, and my nose seemed more upturned than before, the show-through looked worse, and I hadn’t noticed until now, but when I touched the silicone around the glabella, it moved slightly... So I started worrying again from then. So I was anxious, and if I actually developed side effects like inflammation or contracture, treatment would be harder when removing the silicone, and I might need another surgery to lengthen a shortened nose. It had also been a long time, 15 years since my surgery. My friend also had nose surgery, and seeing her sons sit down on and bump into her face with their heads or bottoms scared me. There were also quite a few people removing implants to raise children more safely. I’m still unmarried, so I was worried about wedding photos, but I also felt it might somehow get in the way of raising my future child. I didn’t want to carry it in my body every day like a time bomb, so I made up my mind to remove it and looked up reviews, focusing on Seoul. But Seoul meant a 10-hour round trip, the surgery cost was much more expensive, and I would have to go at least 4 times for consultation, surgery, and treatment. Even just getting consultations would take at least 6 months to over a year, so it felt like a huge burden. So I decided to have removal surgery at one of the places I had consulted in Busan a year ago, and scheduled it for a month later to match this Chuseok holiday. Meanwhile, I’m really, really anxious and easily swayed, so while looking up nose silicone removal reviews, I read things like the nasal tip sinks after silicone removal, the nasal septum deviates, the nose collapses, the nose becomes upturned like a snub nose, and so on. Whenever I saw those posts, I worried so much that I might become like that too, and my mind kept going back and forth, what should I do, what should I do. To put it bluntly, I even thought that if side effects came, I wouldn’t want to live. Even until the day of surgery, I was anxiously looking up side effects and reviews, but I just decided to do it and removed the silicone. Because my skin is thin, I had closed silicone removal plus moderate removal of the capsule and scar tissue. I was so curious about my face. In good reviews, everyone said they didn’t notice much difference after removal, and I hoped I’d be the same.... After removal, I had taping and gauze on, so I didn’t know, but today, on day 2, during disinfection, they removed the packing inside my nose and took off the tape and gauze. The surgeon said my nasal bridge had been very low. Then I looked in the mirror, and although the swelling was severe, seeing my nonexistent nasal bridge made me feel complicated and also laugh. But my mind became peaceful. Even celebrities who had nose surgery 20 years ago live fine and then suddenly get side effects and have surgery again, you know. I didn’t want to do anything to my face again, and I’m going to live loving myself more. Everyone always has the desire to become prettier, but if that desire is to look good to others, I hope you can let go of that feeling and first look after and take care of yourself. I wrote way too much, but if this post gives even a little strength to someone, please stay strong. This too shall pass, and don’t forget that you are still a person with a beautiful inner self. Fighting. Have a good day today!!
