I had cheekbone reduction and surgery for a retruded chin! I really thought about it a lot and went to many consultations, but I’m dissatisfied with the results,, I’ll explain in detail why.
1. Cheekbone reduction surgery I got both cheek sagging and cheek hollowing. I’m seriously so pissed while writing this. When I was going around for consultations, I read the doctor’s blog posts and trusted him, so I had a consultation and decided on surgery. In those posts, he said things like he had know-how to prevent cheek sagging and cheek hollowing, and analyzed celebrities’ faces and so on, but none of that means anything. You can tell from the results. The cheek sagging is like in the attached photo, sagging like that on the side of my cheek. My friends said it looked a little sagged when they saw me, but when I looked in the mirror and saw a citron-like sagging on my cheek that wasn’t there before, I was seriously depressed. The photo is after Thermage, and that’s the improved version ㅠㅠ sigh,,
And there is truly no answer for the cheek hollowing. I shaved down my cheekbones to make my face shape prettier, but as my cheeks became hollow, my face shape became like a skull/peanut. When I met acquaintances, they all said I looked older,, lol I was really stressed, so I filled both cheeks with 4 cc of filler each. That’s seriously a lot. Full-face filler is 8 cc, and I put that amount only into my cheeks. At least after filling them, the cheeks look less hollow, but if this was going to happen, I don’t know why I had surgery.
2. Surgery for retruded chin I had genioplasty with chin advancement. Because I had a retruded chin, I wanted my chin tip to come forward; I never wanted my chin length to get longer, but as my chin got longer, I ended up with an older-looking + masculine look. It didn’t just get longer; the chin should have been brought out in a slim way, but because they just pulled it out, it looks asymmetric and like a man’s chin. The one good thing is that my retruded chin improvedㅜㅋ
If I could turn back time to before I had surgery, I think I would still get surgery. But I absolutely would not do it at that hospital. Go to consultations thoroughly, look up lots of reviews, and then get surgery. That’s all.
