Doctor, may you be blessed for life.ㅠㅠ They say I need to watch the swelling until three months, but from the rough look of it, I think the line will become straighter as time passes, so I’m excited.
My face is V-shaped, with just a bit of asymmetry, and otherwise it’s a face shape without any angular parts; my face is a little long. I deliberately asked for a straight line rather than a straight-with-slight-curve line. My goal was more image correction than image improvement, so I wanted a straight nose, and because my philtrum is on the long side, if my nostrils showed it would look even longer, so I did not lower the columella. Also, my columella already protruded to some extent, so I had an exact consultation about the nose shape / nasolabial angle / columella before proceeding.
Surgery details: I asked them to shave the dorsal hump while leaving a little of it, and since I already had some bridge height, I used no implant, only ear cartilage and septal cartilage, to raise the nasal tip and improve the bulbous nose.
The surgery was on October 14, and the photos are from yesterday. From the front, back, side, top, and bottom, it’s all so pretty. It’s exactly what I wanted: from the side, the nose has a certain amount of volume, but the nasal line is pointed, so I’m just grateful to the doctor. Since my philtrum is on the long side, my nasal tip does not feel pulled when I smile or talk, so I don’t think the nasal tip will droop much over time.
Tip for rhinoplasty: If you have lip filler or any filler in your face, it’s better to dissolve it first. That way you can properly see the harmony with your face, including the nasolabial angle and how much the columella is lowered. Of course, if the filler isn’t excessive, it probably doesn’t matter, but unless you’re going to live with filler for the rest of your life, think about this part too before surgery.
And objectively understand your own face -> In my case, the overall harmony of my face was good, but the dorsal hump and the wide, spread-out nasal alae made my impression feel a bit unrefined, so I had surgery to improve that. Before surgery, I emphasized this several times, communicated my thoughts clearly, told them everything I wanted, and had the surgery that way.
I took the photos down again.
