Even when I covered them with concealer and foundation, the shadow from the sunken hollow made them look like dark circles and somehow made me look gaunt.. I don’t have any bare-face photos saved, but even when I covered it with concealer and several layers of foundation, if you looked closely, you could clearly tell the hollow was sunken. That was about the degree of it After thinking about it, I heard a lot of people are getting under-eye fat repositioning these days.. and I thought that while I was at it, I should open up the outer/lower corners too, so I looked into clinics!
The most important thing I considered was, first, whether the place specialized in eyes and noses! Honestly, if the doctor’s skills are solid, it might not matter where you get it done, but I also felt that the surgeries the doctor mainly focuses on probably mean, “I’m confident in this,” and I thought they would definitely have handled those cases more intensively and frequently. From my experience with large hospitals, I kept feeling that they don’t really look after me thoroughly until the end, so I looked mostly into private clinics or small clinics (with 2-3 doctors), and among them, I liked the consultation here, and they seemed to have many good surgical cases, so I made my decision! haha (Oh, I’m writing this down in case it matters, but I personally liked that the aftercare/AS period for eyes is 3 years.)
First of all, one of the reasons this place left the strongest impression was the consultation manager..bb She genuinely empathized with the parts I was worried about, and her reactions were so good that the atmosphere was really, really nice. Honestly, I was very nervous because of that intimidating..? atmosphere that plastic surgery consultation rooms can have, but there was none of that at all, and she helped me relax well haha. The doctor was also warm and spoke in a calm, gentle style, so he explained slowly so I could understand, saying how this would improve things and that there was this method, and it felt like he was trying to tell me even one more thing, so the surgical explanation really hit home and stayed with me the most! They even checked whether my condition was okay up until the day of surgery!
Every time I went in for follow-up, they consistently gave me swelling laser treatments, and during the time scheduled for me, they devoted that time fully to me and checked my progress carefully, so I felt reassured. Since I followed the precautions the clinic told me exactly, I think the swelling went down pretty quickly haha. Would you believe me if I said I went to The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido to see a pop-up right one week after surgery? lololololol
Once the hollow that had been bothering me was filled, I became more soft and refreshed-looking..? how should I put it, I definitely feel like I look much younger, and the lateral/lower canthoplasty came out naturally without any of that characteristic C-shaped look at all, so I’m completely satisfied haha. Since I was already lying on the operating table for my eyes, I thought I might as well also do my nostrils, which had stressed me out for a long time. (Actually, when I carefully brought up nose surgery, the doctor said my nose was already pretty now, so it would probably be okay to just improve the nostrils.) I think listening to the doctor was the right choice a hundred, a thousand times over. My existing image didn’t change too much, and I feel like I just became prettier naturally, so I’m satisfied lol!!
