I had incisional double eyelid surgery, lower canthoplasty, epicanthoplasty, and ptosis correction done (in-out line)
At several other clinics, they said I didn’t need ptosis correction or lower canthoplasty, but I felt a bit greedy and had the surgery at this place because they said they would do it. It’s a large clinic in Gangnam that is also really famous for revision surgery.
During the consultation, the consultant was kind, but as soon as the director saw me for the first time, he said I had sunken eyes and kept sighing heavily, which was very unfriendly. But I heard he was good at surgery, so I went ahead with it. And I think the price was about three times more expensive than other clinics.
I’m really satisfied with the incisional double eyelid surgery. It looks natural. Really natural. Usually, no matter how well incisional surgery is done, it shows, but mine turned out so well that people around me wouldn’t know unless I told them. I had it done as an in-out line.
But for the epicanthoplasty, although it isn’t severe, I was left with a hook-shaped scar on one eye, and the lower canthoplasty and ptosis correction had absolutely no effect. When I asked about the hook-shaped scar from the epicanthoplasty, they tried to reassure me by saying it turned out beautifully, which I didn’t like, and they had absolutely no sense of responsibility toward the patient. The description “large Gangnam factory-style clinic” fit perfectly.
There was overtreatment, and I’m satisfied with the double eyelids, but the canthoplasty was not great, they were unfriendly, and they had no sense of responsibility, so it’s kind of an ambiguous clinic to recommend! If you don’t need canthoplasty or service-minded care and want only incisional double eyelid surgery, then I can recommend it!!
