Before<before surgery>After<1 month>After<7 weeks>After<now>After<now>
I had surgery at MD on April 25 with Mentor Xtra 325/350 through the transaxillary approach, and now I'm almost at three months.
As someone who went through all kinds of things while getting breast surgery, it's amazing that it's already almost been three months.. lol Honestly, I was really, really extra... Because of the breast surgery I had wanted so much, I was depressed for a week and couldn't even eat properlyㅜㅜㅜ When sleeping, I couldn't lie straight and comfortably, so I cried because of that too.. Without realizing it, I lifted my arms up and my skin pulled and hurt, so I criedㅜㅜㅜ
Strangely, on the day of surgery, I actually wasn't that nervous... I went to the hospital, got guided, changed into patient clothes.... Heard the precautions from the director.. Met the anesthesiology director, took one breath in, and my memory reset.. haha Even during anesthesia, everyone kept saying, don't worry~ relax~
The part that bothered me the most was that in the pre-op photo, the upper part of my breasts was sunken, like where I drew the arrow. Every time I wore underwear, that area stressed me out the most.
When I wore a padded bra and a T-shirt, the top would float up, so it was obvious to anyone that I had padding in ㅜㅜㅜ I also showed this photo to the director during the consultation and said I wanted this area filled. The post-op photos are, in order, 1 month and 7 weeks after breast surgery.
At 1 month, there was still some upper bulging left, but it felt like my tissue had softened compared with week 1, you know? Actually, I was satisfied even then lol But after passing around 7 weeks, it was completely different... The feel gradually became soft and squishy.. In that pose, my breasts could be gathered this much too lol It was fascinating, so I kept gathering them and making a fuss.
As I said earlier, I was someone who had a serious reality check after surgery and even showed symptoms of depression, but I think I was at least able to hang in there because I received weekly care at the hospital, met the director, and could talk about various worries during checkups ㅜㅜ
When I was running around to consultations, I wondered whether everything would be more or less the same no matter how much I looked into it, but it wasn't.... Everyone, make sure to ask in detail during consultation what the aftercare, hospitalization, and treatment schedule will be like!! You're paying a lot of money for surgery, so of course these are things you need to know from the patient's perspective before going in, right???
Once my breasts got bigger, it may be obvious, but my figure really looks so much better, and thanks to that, my waistline looks more tucked in too lol Two birds with one stone..
The feel also doesn't even compare with before, when it felt like touching sticky tapeㅜㅜ It probably can't be exactly the same as real breasts.. But still, the tissue has softened a lot, so it's okay even if I knead and touch them.. Even if you feel depressed after surgery, try closing your eyes and holding on just a little longer...ㅜㅜ At first I couldn't shower, then on the day I finally showered, the unpleasant sticky feeling disappeared, and when I saw my operated breasts in the bathroom mirror, my mood improved right away.. I think in the early post-op period, not being able to wash well, not being able to move well, and the discomfort make you feel even more powerless..
Comparing with before surgery and looking at the upper breasts, I definitely think the upper breasts were filled well according to my needs.
When looking for a hospital, check properly whether aftercare is well arranged, the director's experience, and also how many times you can see the director for post-op checkups!!! An acquaintance of mine had breast surgery, and even after several months, she said she had never once seen the director and was feeling frustrated....... It's a major surgery that costs a lot of money and even involves anesthesia, so I hope everyone looks into it carefully before getting surgery!
