In my case, my side cheekbones were much more developed than my 45-degree cheekbones. So I leaned most toward ㅅㅅㅇ, booked the surgery right away without much further hesitation, and everything proceeded smoothly up to the surgery.
There was no pain from the cheekbone surgery. People say that after general anesthesia your throat hurts and you get thirsty, but I had none of that. There was almost no cheekbone pain either. However, now that it has been a little over 2 weeks since surgery, managing things until the cheekbones fuse has been much more tricky and difficult than the surgery itself. It is hard because my mouth does not open well, and I cannot eat hard foods until the bones fuse.
Still, it was a surgery I really wanted, so even if I went back, I would have the surgery again. First of all, my cheekbones were an area I alone was bothered by, so I can see the difference. But when I visited at week 2, they said I was still puffy like a rice cake and that more swelling needed to go down, and that it would change a lot. Whenever I felt the swelling going down little by little day by day, I felt good. There is still swelling, but it is much smoother than before, and people around me say my cheekbone line seems a bit smoother and ask if I lost weight. After surgery, the side width decreased and the line became much smoother, so I like it :)
