My nose broke, so I ended up having revision surgery unintentionally. During my first surgery, except when they removed the splint, I was never once told to come to the clinic, and I received no follow-up care at all. But this time they checked my progress so thoroughly, and the aftercare was the best, so even though it takes 10 hours round trip from my house, I feel like I did well going that far Everyone says the surgery went so well that it was a good thing it broke Since it was a nasal bone fracture + revision surgery, I had a lot of capsule tissue and bleeding was not easy to control, so after surgery there were issues with a hematoma and skin lifting. But they personally explained one by one why the hematoma formed and treated it, so the hematoma issue was resolved without problems in a week. The doctor who performed my surgery also personally taped the skin on my nasal bridge and taught me how to do it, saying that around the 3-month mark after surgery it would attach like my own skin. Even though I am super sensitive, I am not worried at all... I personally realized why everyone says to go somewhere with good aftercare. When I told them that everyone I meet says the surgery turned out well, they were so happy as if it were their own business I am on my way home after a follow-up today too, and I am excited because I think the surgery turned out well.
